My wife and I enjoy traveling Route 66 and staying at all the unique historic motels. We already visited the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook, AZ so this one was on my bucket list, and it didn't didn't disappoint. Truly a fun experience!
Our timing was bad and we visited on a rainy day, but we still enjoyed our cozy teepee.

It’s so cool and the rooms are so much bigger than you’d think! So comfortable! This is our second time staying here and won’t be the last.

I loved how unique the property is. I loved that there was a big grassy area for the kids to run and play.
The rooms could use a bit of an upgrade.

I like how the property reminded me of cars where you get the own parking spot & your own room not messed together
No much to complain about at all

One of the last unique hotels in southern california. Very historic.
Everything was fine

Five star in my book first choice for me in San bdno
There is not a thing I did not like maybe just that a microwave in the room would be a great thing to have in the room for those late snacks

Quirky

I like how well this historic property is kept up. Towels and sheets were also good quality.
I wish this historic, iconic property had just a little more going on as far as amenities. It would be great if they used their empty land for something like croquet or other games. Why not?

Neighborhood a bit sketchy

The owner's obviously put a lot of work into restoring a modern "old American classic", it's clean and my large dog, myself and my wife slept comfortably.
The only downside had nothing to do with the hotel but the neighboring guests who were wildly inconsiderate of those around them, but you can't fix dumb as they say. Also booking.com had the wrong address listed so Google the hotel and use Google Maps not the address on Booking as of 11/02/2025.

Location was good for our destination
Its a lil out dated, and it could use fluffier pillows and cleaner floors

You can’t miss a stay in this historic location. Rooms are cozy and charmingly old-fashioned. As it should be. All clean and safe parking next to the Wigwam. Very friendly people!

Awesome location and such a unique experience! Deceptively bigger than you think. Has its own parking for each teepee. Main office has a gift shop with unique things. No coffee in rooms, but you can get some at the main office. Gonna definitely come again.
Surrounding area is a bit sketchy, but it was quiet.

Bed needs updating along with the duvet covers and curtains, in need of a total refresh.

The wigwams are really unique and deceptively spacious. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.
A bedside lamp would’ve been great rather than just the overhead light.

History of the place
Not too clean, no bathroom floor rug, colorful bed cover, broken furniture, people from the street entering property, didn’t feel safe, only few rooms occupied when staying. No microwave or hot water for a tea.

Iconic retro perfect for Highway 66 adventure!! Best beds of the trip so far - comfy & cozy! Nice staff & old car touches add to the atmosphere. Be ready for small (after all it’s a teepee, even the shower is old school)
Had to go to office for coffee, but good selection with Keurig.

The clerk was super nice when I arrived. He made sure to tell me that if there was anything I needed, to let him know right away. He pointed me to a place to get something to eat. I had been on my motorcycle for over 12 hours and I was just ready to bed down. The room was quite comfy.
There was nothing I didn't like

Fun Route 66 vibe, got to stay in an actual Tee Pee
Big roach that tried going in the room when I open the door that I had to smash with my flip-flop. small bathroom antiquated room.

I love how cozy and small it is. Bathroom was really clean. The pool was lovely and relaxing.
No microwave available. There was a refrigerator but no microwave. The floors were a little dirty like they needed to be mopped. They were vacuumed very well but not mopped.

Clean and very comfortable. Fabulous staff - they were so helpful on a previous trip, this was probably the main reason for a revisit

Check in was a smooth process and staff were excellent and friendly. We had a couple of issues with our door card which was very quickly sorted.
This is a great, quirky place to stay - we were doing Route 66 and this was one of the 'iconic' places we'd heard about to stay, so we chose it for our final night.
The wigwam room's decor was a little dated but perfectly clean and functional, with a good shower and air con.
Parking is conveniently right next to your wigwam, making it easy to unload luggage.
The pool is a welcome sight on a warm day!
Nothing to report.
