This place has an old charm with some history, but the walls are thin and the neighbors woke me up at 3am

We especially liked the studios - with their separate bedroom and living room. Felt like a mini home-from-home! Courteous and friendly staff too.

We’ve stayed in Nevada City for years but this is our first stay at this gem. From the adorable property to the lovely waterfall and staff, it was a hit with us. The most important thing to me staying somewhere is how comfortable the beds are and these were wonderful!

Would never stay here again. I had reserved and paid for a chalet, at checkin they downgraded me to a cheaper and smaller room that was much cheaper online. I had the confirmation email showing I paid for the most expensive room (chalet) but the hotel did not care, they downgraded my room with no apologies or compensation of any kind. The hotel was not busy at all, several chalets were vacant there was no reason for their action. The facilities are very run down and old with apparently no maintenance. We had screens on the windows that were bent and dangling, holes in the doors and walls, stains on the furniture, yard maintenance didn’t exist, pool area looked like it hadn’t been attended to in years. The room appeared fairly clean which was a definite plus but it stank, we had to keep windows open to breathe. And it was very noisy, not on the property but road noise. Fabulous potential if they had competent management and employees. Way overpriced, facilities reminded me of an old summer camp for children. Would recommend staying in nearby Grass Valley, we re-located there into a fabulous boutique hotel for a lower rate.
