Not so much the property. I paid ahead on BOOKING.com but the virtual payment card never got to the property so I had to pay double for my room and the staff ( Sunny and her manager) had to work their magic to get everything paid and refunded.

Very beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms!! I think the pictures online don’t do it justice! This hotel is much better in person than in the photos. Everywhere I would look would be clean and fresh smelling, no trash anywhere, room service was very discreet and subtle so as to not disturb you, the room was well-equipped with everything you might need on your first and second nights there. Breakfast was also very good! Could have a few more savory choices, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a problem. Just my preference. It was also very nice of them to offer hot chocolate in the lobby during the cold days! I appreciated that a lot! Coffee and tea was available in the lobby throughout the day, another aspect I truly liked and appreciated! Very comfortable bed and overall room! I liked my stay in this hotel and would definitely stay again!

Everything was almost perfect! The only thing I can think of is maybe a few more savory choices for breakfast. But that’s debatable and only a personal preference!

Perfect location. Walked to everything we wanted to see. Streets were well lit at night. Quite a few homeless but no one bothered us or made us uncomfortable. Breakfast was good! Bacon, scrambled eggs and fried potatoes on buffet plus the usual items. 😊

Framed for smoking

I stayed with my parents for one night and the hotel framed us for smoking. They charged us $200 for allegedly smoking in the room and claimed they had evidence against us. We made several allegations and complained several times. After dozens of hours lost arguing the hotel finally reimbursed at the $200 back but we never received a formal apology for the false accusations, the damage caused and all the time we lost. They ruined our vacations in the United stays. I do not recommend this hotel.

I had a great time touring Louisville and surrounding area and the stay at this location was great

the breakfast was OK, for a get up and go out to tour town..the view of the downtown area from the rooms was excellent and the movement in and out was good

the parking fee $19 a night 🌃, only because it was not a reservable space fee..the parking was still a 1st come 1st get..I required disability parking and the ♿ spaces were being taken by regular residents..with the "window" hotel 🏩 parking (cards 🎴)

Loved the location and the friendly staff

Loved the location! Came into for a concert at The Yum Center. Easy and safe walk to the venue and restaurants. When we checked in the young woman was so nice. Another lady who worked there gave us a great recommendation for a favorite restaurant. Delicious and great atmosphere, and an easy walk to get there. The breakfast was really good. A great assortment to choose from. The ladies who were working for breakfast were very friendly. All of that matters so much. It made our trip extra fun, to be around upbeat people who seemed happy at their jobs. I will definitely book a room there again. I will look forward to coming to Louisville and staying at The Fairfield again

Stayed two nights on Spring Break to visit Loiusville Slugger Museum and a few other places.

That it was in walking distance to downtown. The breakfast.

Did not like that I had to pay to park at the hotel. Someone at the front desk had to let you in the pool, could not just enter with the room key. Front desk not very friendly.

Checks all the boxes if you are attending a convention and don’t want to pay for the closer higher priced hotels. Since the weather was nice, it was an easy three block walk to the convention center.

Needs refurbishing since it’s an older property. Neighborhood is not as nice as the hotels near the conference center. The breakfast was just okay (no breakfast meat offered).

Good location, within walking distance to places, friendly staff, kept breakfast stocked and clean, even took our plates for us, breakfast staff outstanding

Fitted sheet wouldn't stay on bed, asked for my room to be billed to different card at check in than what I used to reserve room with. Took new card to use at checking but still billed previous one used to reserve room. Had 3 people to our room and 2 vehicles driven. Only 1 vehicle allowed to park in garage at hotel. I had to pay the 19 to park at hotel and then 30 dollars to park other car down street at different parking garage that was 15 per day. ( paid 30 for being parked from 3pm sat until 10am Sunday -not even 24 hours) breakfast was a little disappointing. No toast or waffles or biscuits or gravy. Very minimal compared to other hotels.

Desk staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and rooms were cozy and clean.

Had two employees try to enter our room the morning before we checked out. One man wearing a polo and holding a clipboard. Another man appeared to be cleaning staff. Seemed very odd they tried to enter our room, and kept trying to open the door even after several failed attempts. Thankfully we locked our room which prevented them from entering while we were getting dressed, but it was definitely concerning having people attempt to enter and continuing to attempt to enter until we approached them and made our presence known.
