From the moment we arrived for our honeymoon stay (just for the night), they had treated us with the most care and attention we had both ever received while staying with any property. The room was immaculate. Despite having renovations on the pub/dining facilities during our stay, they ensured every guest had complimentary breakfast and good options for room service dinner.

The artwork, decorations

The fact that you have to stand at a light and wait on a main highway in the cold until the light changes so you can get from your room to the main building. No way to press the light. It is up to the light to time out. Also the restaurant was poorly staffed so the time from entering the restaurant till you get the food was one hour even though it was not busy. Our food waited under the warming lights for 20 minutes and was partly cold

Nice stay. Warm lodge.

If visiting the Biltmore estate, this is the only place to stay. The Lodge is warm and inviting along with the fireplace & hot chocolate bar. "Al" at the front desk strove to be most helpful and welcoming.

I was relegated across the harrowing street to the other building. This was not ideal The dessert was underwhelming & did not include the almonds as listed.

Breakfast was great. The hotel is well appointed & gorgeous.

The valet completely dropped the ball - twice - and made the stay stressful.

Red Stag Grill was superior

The rooms were not as nice as the pictures. Small outdated carpet uncomfortable chairs. We had to move to different room. Adjoining door made room next to us very noisy. The bathroom was nice however. No bottled water for a $600 room? Way too small “fridge “ was a joke.

This is a very pretty property and in a very good location

While most of the staff was very kind, we did have an issue with one of the servers at the restaurant. In addition, the fire alarm sounded at 3 AM. We were in a totally different building from where the fire alarm station was pulled, and yet our fire alarm still sounded in our room.

Very good overall, would try more restaurants outside the lodge next time

Our room was very nice, very clean, spacious. We had one issue and the front desk fixed it right away. It was a bit weird that the staff came into the room multiple times a day, but it was nice having the room repeatedly tidied up. The ballroom was nice and spacious and there was a lovely outdoor seating area to take our buffet breakfasts and lunches. The valet service was friendly and easy to use. The front desk was happy to help with pretty much anything.

The dinner we had on our first night was not good. The mashed potatoes were barely room temperature, the grits were tasteless, the $70 steak my husband had was meh, the brownie dessert was weirdly small. The dessert we had on our second night was supposed to be creme brulee but was solid orange and rubbery, as was everyone's at the dinner we attended. We had a good laugh over it but it was inedible. The meals we ordered through room service, however, were delicious, so I guess there are just some inconsistencies with the food prep. This was not an issue for my husband and me, but there are no locks on the double doors to the bathroom, the glass door to the toilet, or double doors to the tub. Also, be careful before you open anything in the room. There are lists of charges for everything, even the bubble bath.

An enjoyable stay, worth the money.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was very nice, the hotel is beautiful to just walk around in, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable. We ate dinner in the main restaurant and had a fabulous meal with great service. Breakfast was included and was quite nice.

The chair in the room was beautiful, but not really comfortable. Further, it was stuck in an alcove with no lighting, so you couldn't really sit in it and read.

Single Lady Getaway

Location. I felt safe traveling alone. The room was beautiful. The staff was amazing and so kind. The food at the restaurant was amazing with wonderful staff.

The ants. I was taken care of at check out but still disappointed that a high end hotel had ants. I didn't find the thermostat until the last night and wish I could have located it sooner. I woke up sweating each night due to being accustomed to sleeping at a much cooler temperature.
