Clean, modern, cute courtyard with restaurant! Location was fab for Melrose. I found the staff polite however not overly forthcoming or particularly inspired by their wonderful city and he area when asking for local recommendations. But really happy overall!
Although I understand LA is a vibrant city and I take responsibility for booking a central hotel, during each of the three nights I stayed here, my sleep was sadly disrupted by other guests after hours. It might be worth the hotel looking into some polite signage to remind guests of unsociable hours on doors leading to communal areas when the receptionist leaves for the evening and front of house is no longer manned? I understand the behaviour of others (particularly late at night when the hotel’s front desk isn’t occupied) is beyond the hotel’s control, however this information could be shared quote easily within the welcome documents left in the room.
I was also in a ground floor courtyard facing room and due to privacy, I had to keep my curtains closed the entire stay so those walking by and using the restaurant couldn’t see in. Unfortunately this meant I couldn’t let the beautiful natural light into my room. I’m aware this room location might have also contributed a little to the late night noise due to thoroughfare. Just a small consideration for future guests if you’re looking to book one of these style room!

The property was modern and stylish, perfectly located within walking distance of everything. The room was spotless, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Staff were very friendly, the location was great, the room was a good size, and the hotel was well designed. Nice spare amenities.
The table surfaces in the room were dirty, the bed linens were not secured to the comfortable or covering the pillows well, the floors were dusty, and curtains were stained. We also had to check in over an hour late because housecleaning wasn’t ready.

The location! The restaurant was also a nice touch although over priced. That’s about it.
The room was so small it was uncomfortable for even two people. The shower only had a shower curtain that kept touching me when I showered and it too was so small I couldn’t shower without touching the walls. The soap barely comes out the pump when u press it. There was mold around the faucet knobs and no pool, hot tub, fitness center or anything. No elevator to second floor. For the price I feel this hotel really under delivered! I also felt the staff were just blah…. No warmth whatsoever. I definitely would not say here again.
