Hampton Inn Asheville-Tunnel Road

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the pool, spa, fire pit and gym were nice. We enjoyed the breakfast as well.

1. The shower temperature would not go above warm (absolutely no hot water all four days!). 2. We stayed at the hotel for four days and yet our room was only cleaned once! 3. People were allowed to smoke at the back patio by the pool, which was unpleasant for us non-smokers. 4. Rooms with pets being allowed next to rooms without. We had a dog barking incessantly in the room right next to ours.

Modern, clean hotel with large rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, coffee available all day, and a gym.

There is a pool, but it is very small and feels more like a symbolic feature than a real one. In the bathroom, the faucet is installed too far from the sink, which is a very poor design choice, causing the countertop to be constantly covered in water.

Close to the mall and attractions. Hot tub.

Liked the hotel and even the parking lot was well lit though it was dark in the surrounding area when we arrived and after driving thru the neighborhood I didn't feel super safe. The hotel staff were nice, breakfast was fine and the room was great. So the hotel site was felt safe but I wouldn't walk the neighborhood at night.

The neighborhood was horrible. The Cook Out burger place at the base of the location had so many addict looking people huddling together or approaching the cars. I think there was a rehab place also across the street from the places below the hotel and that had lots of people waiting for transportation. We went to a local market and there was security there for a problem. That city needs to work on trying to make the area better and maybe better resources.
