Came for my mom’s bday weekend; she stayed in a beachfront hotel that I can’t afford so I stayed just minutes away and the comfortable Oceanside suites! I was pleased with everything and the price is right. The bed was comfy, big screen tv, clean bathroom. I thought the heat didn’t work but just took me a minute to figure out how to turn it on. We were comfy on a cold night. Breakfast is waffles, cereal, toast; we just had some tea. Would def stay again!
My husband and I are small people and we laughed that the shower water hit us in our chests- I think it would hit a tall person in the stomach and idk how they’d wash their hair 😆 the shower itself is quite small which was fine for us tiny people. The hairdryer wasn’t strong but I should’ve thought to bring my own. No problem. The wifi was a bit slow but we weren’t doing any major surfing.

The location was great for getting to the glass beach. Breakfast was basic, but good enough to start the day with. Staff were friendly

In a great location, amazing value for the price.
The rooms didn’t provide much of sound insulation. It was difficult for myself and my girlfriend to fall asleep when we were able to hear the room next to us being loud and other people enter/exit their rooms without much regard for their loudness despite having quite time designated for 10pm-6am.

The room was comfortable with plenty of storage and a fridge and microwave. There was even a ceiling fan, which I like for the simple fact that air in a hotel room is usually stagnant. There was even a terrace just outside my room where it was nice to watch the sunrise. Breakfast is available from 7:30-10:30 every morning with cereals with fresh fruits and make yourself waffles!
The floor around the bed creaked a lot. The bathroom was very small.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! They are scammers. They changed us $50.00 for a washcloth and 2 towels they said we ruined. We didn't!!! They also said that they had pictures to prove it but would not send them to us😡🤬😡. We will not be staying here again and we suggest you do the same. Plus, the bed's we're very uncomfortable 🥵

Has a little deferred maintenance.

This hitel it’s perfect to visit the coast. And there is the basic equipment.
The place for breakfast it’s little but everything you need is here (fruit, cornflakes, coffee, tea, milk, waffles,...).
We had bedroom with 2 beds. It's very basic instalation but it's enough for 1 night. However, the insulation was not very good.
And 1 window opened onto a closet.

I liked the price and the fact they had a little breakfast. I asked for a safe room since I travel alone and I feel they listened, giving me an end room. The bathroom was really large and had a tub. The room was clean.
The sheet had a stain and there was a large office chair that was worn. The room was small, so a large chair wasn't necessary. They ran out of coffee and have only one waffle maker, so you need to wait. The bed is on a metal platform that you hit. The flip lock was broken.

It was a good location.
Check in was too late and they made me pay a $10 fee because I was an hour early but needed to check in. The tv didn’t work because I don’t think they set it up. The phone to reach front desk was also not working. The place was loud and uncomfortable and I actually almost left at 4am because I couldn’t sleep but it didn’t make sense with traffic so I had to wait.

It was a cold time of year and there was one little baseboard heater that kind of worked but the bathroom was very cold.

Old school motor lodge of yesteryear fully remodeled in 2021.
Normally I bring a travel trailer but this time I came by myself for a quick trip. I had a great stay & would stay here again. For reference I was in room 106
The Goods: King sized bed. Large bathroom with tub & lighted mirror. Full kitchen including stove, apartment sized larger fridge, microwave, toaster, basic pots, pans & some utensils. Ceiling fan. Dual payne windows. WiFi. Cable TV, Continental breakfast, large front window for light & breeze. Kitchen & living/bedroom roll down blackout shades. My room felt VERY clean. At night you can hear the ocean, 5 min walking from Glass Beach parking lot, 8 min walking to Skunk Train, Grocery/liquor store next door. You can park right in front of your room.
The Bad: Water running in the walls when neighbors are showering if you are a light sleeper, The bed frame (at least my room) is a sheet metal perimiter with some sort of spring hung mattress base. I kept kicking it when getting in bed & if you moved too fast the bed squeaked a lot.
I would definitely recommend staying there. I sleep with ear plugs normally so the water in the walls or any other sounds weren't an issue although if all the bed frams were the same, someone next dorr could have been quite noisy if they were getting intimate. All rooms were booked & I had no issues with loud or obnoxious people. I believe their policy is quiet time starts at 10pm. If you are looking for a big breakfast this wouldn't be for you but likena lot of places they offer make your own waffles, a couple types of fruit, 2 types of cereal, milk, Orange & Apple Juice Coffee and Tea. It was good enough for me. If you are looking for a pool or gym, there wasn't one but you have the Pacific Ocean across the street to swim in. Lastly this had to be the cleanest feeling room I have stayed in for years. Kudo's to the cleaning crew!

Courteous front desk. Bed was very comfortable. Good closet space
bedframe was metal and impossible to not conitinuously kick it. It was LOUD., as were the ones in other people's rooms, because we could hear them! Reservation didn't match my request to upgrade. Only saw hotel staff once. Everything was self-serve, breakfast was bare minimum, cramped area, not enough seating area, room was a sauna or freezing, , humid slippery shower no rails, floors slippery tile, no space to unpack bathroom items, shampoo and soaps in wall dispensers so you can't read ingredients.
No table /chairs for work area, heater was confusing and took forever to heat the room. Furniture was damaged, The communication sent from the website asking if I needed anything and asking to upgrade the day before was never answered, pre-check-in didn't work either. I had to re-check myself in at desk upon arrival.
Honestly, it was clean, and felt safe. IT is a no frills but necessities only place. Good for the price, but be prepared for very simple rooms.

Walking distance to Jen Burger, Denny’s, gas stations and liquor stores and the beach was right across the street walking distance. The room was very nice with the picture of a beach when you pull the appliances down amazing.
Nothing bad to say about this property

It was walking distance to grab food or walk to the store to grab something small to eat. Also, five minute walk to the beach.

The room was moderately clean. And the location was where I needed to be close to my parents home.
Not sure if she was the owner or manager but I was greeted in the parking lot by a very rude woman who told me (before I even got out of my car) that she did NOT approve the early check in that I submitted the night before. Not sure why they send an email to make that option available if the manager is just going to look at your picture and not approve it. I sort of feel like she was targeting me and discriminating against me to be honest...strange that she recognized me right away before I even got out of my vehicle.
During check in she asked me why I was even visiting. I've been coming to Fort Bragg since I was 16 (about 30 years give or take a few years as I raised my own family) when my parents built their retirement home on Pudding Creek Road....they grew up in the area. But I felt like I was treated like a "prostitute" to be honest as if she was suspicious of why I would be checking in there even though I made and paid for my reservation about 2 months previous. I started renting my own room so I don't disrupt my 82 & 83 yo old parents when I want to come and go during the day and night and they don't need to clean up behind me as well when I leave.
None the less the room she claimed wasn't available suddenly became available (possible because she was already arguing with another customer in the phone and didn't want another issue).
Also, the solid shade depicting a beach scene that is used instead of curtains needs to go, respectfully. You cannot see out of your room AT ALL unless you pull the shade up which allows ppl to easily see into your room.
Otherwise the place was clean and quiet, although the bed was extremely hard.

Poor breakfast. Small room.
Nothing, smelly room

Nothing, had to stay here in an emergency and the experience made what I was already going through even worse. The staff had to give me three different rooms because each one I went to looked like someone was living in it and it was extremely dirty.

Waffles were yummy, the rest of breakfast was just okay: cold cereal, milk, orange punch, not juice, apples, bananas and hot coffee with powdered creamer but they ran out of lids for the coffee cups.
The bathroom mirror had a neat defogging feature.
Paint was peeling off the building.
The TINY rooms were cramped. The desk chair was actually in the closet, because there was no room for it. We paid for a King sized bed, but got a queen. Desk clerk tried to say I was wrong, that she had us in a king and all of them were that size. I have a king sized bed at home. There's plenty of room to stretch out and relax. This bed was so tiny, we couldn't roll over without bumping into each other.
No AC. The room was hot. We could open the window, but how do you feel safe with a huge, waist high window open in a hotel??? It was very low, and big enough for a grown man to easily climb through it, with no window locks. Plus, the glass was not secure in the frame and the glass actually fell out when we tried to open it!
The TV didn't work.
The light fixture on the ceiling and lamp were BOTH broken.
Wood was peelling off the bathroom door and there was mold in the shower.
There's No hand rail in the shower and the non slip surface on the floor did not go all the way across. I slipped and fell getting out of the shower. I wasn't really hurt, just a bruise on my shoulder, but I wanted it documented, and also to let them know this could cause serious injury for a senior to slip and fall. There was no phone in the room to call the front desk. When I went to the office to report the fall, they refused to fill out an incident report, female employee said there's no such thing. First the female employee said the manager was coming, then she said he wasn't there. The tall male employee, with the long ponytail, first tried to blame me, them became aggressive and refused to give his name. He told me his name was none of my business and said if I was so unhappy there, I should just check out and leave.
This was an hour before my son's wedding. I didn't have time to find another place to stay. My family rented 3 rooms. All 3 were bad. We definitely will NEVER stay there again.

Good location for seeing the sights nearby.
One of my next-door neighbors left a half-open glass beer bottle under my driver's side door near tire before I ate the continental breakfast in the office. So I immediately let the office staff know about it, & they put the glass beer bottle in a trash can near my car. Inter- therm heater was ok, but not too great (76 deg. F max). Back corner room can sometimes make for some friction with next door neighbors for parking spaces near rooms (as I unfortunately experienced & mentioned earlier).

Didn't have breakfast, location was good.
Room was small ,desk chair was bad.iam a small guy i even had trouble moving around. Good clean room.

Plenty of parking right off the street walking distance to places near by
Bed was loud, walls thin. I had left a hat in the closet, Brand new from skunk train, I called management to save it for me so I couldn't return for it, told me they didn't see it. That's very upsetting as I don't think they cared to check honestly and couldn't bother to so they preferred to lie to me that it wasn't there. Pity.

Thankfully we were only staying for one night. The only upside was proximity to the centre of Fort Bragg and the picture of a beach on the window blind.
Our sleep was disturbed by vehicles moving around in the night and an incredibly noisy fridge. The room could do with a deep clean and / or some maintenance, e.g. sink was rusty and wardrobe runners were grubby. There was only one bedside cabinet for some reason. The staff member in reception did not seem very welcoming when we checked in. We were at breakfast for about half an hour and no-one replenished the breakfast so no porridge was available in this time.

We were able to check in on time, but were told our room was not clean and we not able to enter until housekeeping cleaned and left the room. We had to use the restroom but there was not a “public restroom”. We were told to wait until our room was done being cleaned. An hour after check we were able to enter. The room was severely ran down and should not have been rented out. Our room had screens popped off of the windows. These windows lead to an alley in the back of the hotel. There was mold in multiple places. Prego pasta sauce lid was taped onto the the pipe of the bathroom sink for plumbing. The floors were dirty, like brown dirty. There was smoking guests on the top floor, even though it was non smoking. A parking lot full of cigarette butts and half eaten chicken wings. We were approached by men hanging out in the parking lot and balcony and no one seemed to care about safety.on top of that the deadbolt didn’t work. The room we were given was not what was shown online. Very misleading. Completely different room. Fraud! Missing smoke detector. Holes in bedding. We left early without a refund. We were catfished by this hotel and Booking.com.

GREAT location for access to the coastal trail and Old Town restaurants, Jenny's Giant Burgers, and Highway 1.
The wifi in my room didn't work very well, but it wasn't an issue. The floors are free of debris but really need to be mopped. I had to wear socks the whole time I was in the room to keep my feet from getting black. Also, the comforter appeared to have cigarette burns in it.

The location is perfect, short walk to downtown, the Skunk Train, North Coast Brewing. Front desk clerk was nice and gave us the room keys even though we were a few hours early. The room was fine, comfy beds, decent shower, we were on the 2nd floor so technically even had an ocean view. There is a ceiling fan and no AC but we didn't need AC.
I couldn't find the ice machine, but that wasn't a big deal. Overall our stay was pretty good.

The property was in good condition. Beautiful plants along one side of the parking lot, plenty of parking.
The television was inoperable. We requested a maintenance man or to move to another room. Neither happened. The front desk lady was not too concerned about reaching out to help us with our request.
The wasn’t a coffee machine, microwave or fridge in the room.

Nothing- we never stayed here as the property called to say there wouldn't be any power or running hot water. And asked what time I'd be checking in.
Everything- I was forced to cancel as I couldn't stay overnight without electricity or running hot water for a shower. And was forced to book at a different hotel at the last minute.
