America's Best Value Inn Phillipsburg

Its an older building behind an IHop. Easy access to the freeway. A Chipolte across the street. I had requested a 1st floor, was told at check in that none were available. Before I went to bed I looked out my window and only 4 cars in parking lot. When I woke up, there were 5 cars in parking lot,but there was no 1st floor availability????

Breakfast is not provided at this hotel. This was not a problem for me but it might be for others. TV didn’t work in my room and shampoo container in tub was empty. The person at the desk did try to fix TV and offered me another room but for one night I didn’t need the TV. Employees were nice and pleasant. I appreciated having a room on the first floor since there isn’t an elevator to second floor. The hotel is somewhat rundown but the room was clean I think this is the only hotel in the immediate area and is close to Rt 78, so I appreciated that.

See above. I had never stayed here before. The parking lot is rutted in places and there was an abandoned car at end of lot. There is an empty lot next door with a few random cars. I didn’t feel comfortable walking around outside. I think this hotel has potential with some upgrades.
