Honest Review

This was a great location for a quick overnight, passing through Portland. Easy parking, friendly staff, big room, all areas seem clean and updated. The pool and hot tub were working as they should. Although, I always feel the indoor hotel pools should be warmer. Breakfast was filled with multiple choices (food sensitivity friendly) and staff were attentive to keeping it stocked. I didn't try the coffee. I'm a coffee snob and knew I would be disappointed. Haha. Nice area to sit with multiple tables. 24/7-coffee/tea/cocoa was a nice touch. We all slept well as the beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The large, moveable, wall mounted TV was teenager approved. Plentiful space for storing clothes, luggage and a small desk for working or eating. Toiletries provided are above average. There looked to be snacks and drinks for sale by the front desk as well as a phone disinfecting machine thing, however we didn't investigate further. Overall it was what we needed and the price was right. Will stay again!

Minor annoyances but I always appreciate a thorough review. There was a used washcloth left hanging in between the shower curtain from a previous guest. Our bathroom door creaked. Loud enough to be disruptive at night. What I found most odd was that our room only had one garbage can. Standard is one in the bathroom and one in the main area. How do you decide...do you have bathroom garbage in the main area or food garbage in the bathroom? Like I said, odd. If we were staying more than one night I would have asked for a second one. No recycle bin either. We had a double queen room with 3 guests. Only 2 bath towels were provided. It was inconvenient that right from the start I would need to ask for more towels. The elevator is slow. We mostly took the stairs.

Location is far from retail and dining, and local restaurants don’t deliver. DoorDash does, for a premium. You will need a car to get around.

Property was clean. The staff seemed nice but there was no follow through. I left something valuable in my room. I was told they have it. Went back to retrieve it. It could not be found. Waited almost a month and manager has yet to return my calls. Very frustrating and disappointing

Super relaxing, quiet, comfortable and awesome breakfast and friendly staff all visit

Paul was great at the Front Desk, and so were the breakfast staff hardworking and great attitude. Nice to relax in the pool. Room was big, clean, comfortable, housekeeping staff super nice. Such a GREAT breakfast!! Hot meal and cold. Pancakes, omelets, 2 different kinds of sausage, different kinds of baked goods, fruit, and juice.

I was greeted in a friendly manner. The room was nice and quiet. Breakfast was good.

I found two things in my room that indicates housekeeping needs to play closer attention to. One was a dirty spot on a shelf that was left and I cleaned. The second was by the couch was some garbage on the rug that wasn't picked up.

All is good. Quiet but close location. Great staff and customer service.

The only inconvenience we ran into was that the refrigerador doesn’t have a freezer portion. We were there for soccer and brought ice. It was going to melt. Staff was very kind to freeze the ice for us in their freezer.

Excellent stay in convenient location!

This location works well for attending concerts in Portland and Vancouver, and we've stayed here several times. The rooms are clean and well-appointed with newer decor and great air-conditioning. We like the pool and hot tub with extended hours of 5:00 am-11:00 pm. The breakfast is excellent with pancakes, cinnamon rolls, pre-made omelets, bacon, and other standard Holiday Inn breakfast fare. Staff have been professional and friendly.

Being advertised as 200 feet from the water, I did not see the water and perhaps it was beyond the tall chain link fence. Not the best setting.

I didn't like that there were signs in the room saying if we need something to call the front desk, and when I needed towels(the room was not supplied with any) I was interrupted in the middle of me asking and told "you have to the front desk to get towels". At the very least, I feel like I should have had towels, and more importantly I shouldn't have been interrupted in the middle of me asking for help.

I recomend for all who play stay in Portland a bit longer.

We had a great experience at the hotel. It’s located on an island, close to a shopping mall. Close to I-5 highway. The room was cleaned frequently, and the staff was very kind and supportive. We especially appreciated the attention from Gordon, the general manager. The hotel also has a gym and a guest laundry facility.

Breakfast was great. The price was okay. The staff was sweet and took care of their customers. It was easy to park. I liked the nearby shopping.

The pictures on booking.com showing a sauna were misleading! There was NO SAUNA, and that was the number one reason why I kept that reservation and didn't go with a hotel that offered studios with a kitchen around the same price point. There was no compensation for the misleading photos. After-hours food options were somewhat limited. Having two Holiday Inns off of the same exit caused confusion for food delivery services and check-in.

Pleasant stay at a quiet location near the freeway

The location was perfect. Away from the freeway so there was NO freeway noise, but close enough for easy access. The breakfast was wonderful. Fully stocked with healthy choices. The breakfast area was clean. The room was pleasant and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice sitting area. We will stay again!
