Very easy and comforting!

Breakfast was great! Comfy beds and helpful staff. Very spacious. They also accommodated our early arrival for the wedding we were attending.

The water pressure in the bathroom (sink) was little to none.

I felt like I lived in my hometown of Vermilion again for a short period.

The staff were very polite and professional. The breakfast was out of this world. It was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel and I'm 60 years old.

Having to leave because I retired to Texas and I came home to visit and stayed at the hotel that I drove by for years but that was the first time ever actually entering the establishment and it truly made me feel like I was home again. Thank you!

Nice but had issues

I've stayed at a few Holiday Inn Express hotels. This one was not on top of my list but the beds were comfortable.

The room wasn't like the photos I saw online (the one I picked mirrored my stay in a Ky one). It was smaller. No walk-in shower. Dark even with a few lights on. It's in the middle of crop fields, so there were spiders. The pool was freezing. (My Ky stay had a heated pool.) The beds were comfortable. My biggest complaint is that we were constantly unable to use the key cards. They had to be repeatedly recharged by the front desk. Sometimes more than once until it finally worked. I would have no access to the pool, exercise room, outdoor lock, and even our room. They blamed it on storing the card close to a cell phone. Mine was in my purse the whole afternoon, in my car. My cell was at the beach with me so that can't be true. At least 2 others complained about this too that I talked to. Fix your technology or you'll lose customers. I've never had that happen at any other location.

very comfortable room. only 2 floors. one hallway each floor easy to find comfortable lobby with amazingly friendly hardworking helpful staff. breakfast was amazing many options from heart healthy omelettes, bran greek yogurts to something for more indulgent preferences, meats galore. easy parking and a stones throw to highway 2 for neighboring towns or interstates beyond or beautiful vermillion on the water just five minute drive away. much more affordable and convenient than house rental options in town (which we’ve enjoyed on previous visits.) the property is a practical cost effective solution but managed with the utmost quality in cleanliness, food and service. consistently. be kind to them when you are tired and weary. they are working hard, at modest pay, to help you. oh and, fresh ground costa coffee, while you wait, on tap, 24/7 :)

there was a guest health emergency during our stay that required emergency services to be called. the front staff managed all of that while continuing to cater to guest arrivals departures and other guest needs. it was a thing to behold.

Ratings are deceiving

The late Afternoon/ evening staff were not friendly when we checked in. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the bedding looked questionable, and our room had a connecting door with an exceptionally loud person who blasted the TV until 2am. However, all the morning staff during breakfast and checking out were exceptionally kind. They definitely deserve recognition.

This hotel was exceptional! The staff at the front desk was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. Reserved a room with 1 queen bed and was put in a room with a king bed. Breakfast was great! No fuss,no muss trip.

booking needs to change the room types available at this hotel. I booked a “king room with spa bathtub” and when I arrived I was told this was not an actual option at this hotel. I still got a fine room but it was not what was advertised which I was excited about.
