Holiday Inn Express Newport by IHG

Great breakfast!

The location wasn’t the best.

Holiday Inns are consistent and this one fell into that category. It felt safe, clean, and orderly.

The location is ‘close’ to stuff but crappy in the grand scheme of the city overall. Just a very ugly location for a crazy price.

The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The location is super close to the aquarium and multiple local shops. I would highly recommend for anyone going out there to stay here.

The only problem we did encounter was that our key card kept malfunctioning multiple times, but the service was great and they resolved the issue each time within a few minutes.

The breakfast is great! And the kitchen staffs were working so hard to refill and keep bringing out hot food items.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Brent at the front desk. He was great. The location was great because all we had planned to do was go to the nearby zoo. That took just 5 mins to walk to. We also ended up visiting South Beach state park as well which was about 5mins away by car. Breakfast was good, had lots of options. Love the all day coffee available in the lobby. Really liked our room, clean and bright, had nice bathroom. All in all, I was very pleased with our stay.

Great staff and location, plus they made us a fisherman’s breakfast to go since we had to get up very early to hit the ocean

Higher price than similar hotels. Went with this one because of previous experience.

Friendly atmosphere and clean building

There were 2 young girls in the pool unattended. Do not think either of them was even 14 and they were jumping in the pool. I know no lifeguard but there should be some monitoring at least for their safety.

The staff are welcoming and the facility is clean and well stocked

Very nice room. Clean. The hot seems pretty new or at least remodeled. Pleasant staff.

The hotel’s location is a bit strange but ultimately not far from Newport’s historic bayfront.

One of the nicest places that we stayed on our trip up the Oregon Coast. It was worth it to stay in a "name" hotel.

Loud music. We were on the "backside" of the hotel. A neighboring business played loud, thumping music ... but it did finally stop at 9 pm.

Room and facilities were clean and well maintained.
