Its proximity to the Parc National des Hautes Gorges, about 15 km past the Auberge on a good, hilly two-lane highway ending at the park’s entrance. On the up-side, the Auberge is simple but clean and serves astonishingly good food, both dinner and breakfast. Fine cuisine that can compete with the best! Thank you, Sarah, for friendly and competent table service! Do not forget to reserve dinner in advance as you may regret it. You may also prefer to reserve room #5 to #10 as they were way nicer than ours, some with small balcony. Beware of nasty insects! As to our room, well, we occupied room #1 right off the common area where clients meet and watch TV. A bit loud and we had to walk through it to reach our room. The Queen-size bed was comfortable enough but there was only one simple chair and a tiny table. The room is carpeted, with very simple decor, all looking very dated. in short, we wouldn’t return for that room but certainly for the fine dining experience.
