    My husband and I traveled to Newport to attend the Oyster & Chowder Festival. We wanted a B&B that was a short walking distance from Bowen's Wharf but far enough to sleep through the music and graduation parties they had Mid-May. Marshall Slocum Inn was absolutely perfect for our stay. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom is quite big. Breakfast and parking is included. Everyone, especially Mark, was just lovely and more than willing to recommend great places for you to tour around the city. I highly recommend.

    Location is within walking distance of historic downtown. Many restaurants and shops are only 15 minutes away. I left my car in the parking and got around town easily. Room was comfortable and clean. Coffee and small pastries and granola bars were the breakfast offerings in the morning. If you are looking for protein, try the Corner Cafe which is a 15 min walk, local, and excellent food, be prepared to wait as its small and fills quickly.
