    The location and warmth of this hotel along with the historical knowledge of the area by the innkeeper, Jerry, made this stay exceptional!

    Morris House Hotel is a pleasant, historical hotel (more like a B&B). It is located within easy reach to the main center city highlights. Public parking is across the street and Morris House guests are granted a discount on parking but there are no in and out parking privileges. The beds are comfortable, the rooms charming. The hotel has no elevator, but the staff are willing to help with the luggage. Breakfast is simple - continental. The only issue we had was the vibration and sound of a train/subway that must be nearby, but it was a minor disturbance.

    I booked a room in the Morris House for an overnight trip to Philadelphia. The only downside was that I didn't get to stay longer. Fabulous place, fabulous room, great restaurant next door with amazing food and a wonderful sweet hostess who kept me company through much of my solo dinner (we bonded over our new kittens; hers was named Mud, I recall), and friendly helpful staff -- I even called months later to ask for the brand of their great makeup wipes provided in the bathroom, and the lovely woman tracked down housekeeping to find out for me. If I ever get a chance to return to Philly, I'll absolutely stay at the Morris House again!
