When it was cold we still had the inside pool, lazy river and jacuzzi to enjoy.

I love the parking and the things that were close to the hotel were in walking distance
My family and I recently stayed at Camelot in Myrtle Beach for a week, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing experiences we have had in over 20 years of visiting Myrtle Beach annually before my birthday.
First, this was not a standard hotel room but an apartment-style unit, and upon arrival we immediately noticed trash still left in the unit from previous occupants. That alone gave a very poor first impression.
The furniture was extremely uncomfortable and very outdated. The balcony curtains looked old, worn, and smelled heavily like cigarette smoke. The odor throughout the apartment was so unpleasant that I had to purchase air freshener spray just to constantly spray the unit during our stay.
One of the biggest issues was the bug problem. Seeing roaches in the apartment was beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. Whoever owns this unit seriously needs to have the property professionally treated and maintained. I am now concerned about having to carefully inspect all of my luggage when I return home because I absolutely do not want to bring anything back with me.
The ironing board was also in terrible condition. The cover was barely attached, and we literally had to hold it in place by hand just to iron clothes.
Another major disappointment was the lack of a washer and dryer inside the unit. We have stayed in Myrtle Beach for over two decades and have never had to carry dirty clothes downstairs to wash them elsewhere. Every other place we have stayed provided an in-unit washer and dryer, so this was very inconvenient and unexpected.
Honestly, had I been able to get my money back, I would have left and booked another hotel immediately. Unfortunately, we had to endure the entire week disappointed.
This was my first time choosing Camelot, and sadly it will also be my last. The unit desperately needs upgrades, deep cleaning, pest control, and overall better maintenance.
