Great value for money

This is one of the few hotels in the area that provide a kitchen with a proper microwave, stove, kitchen sink and refrigerator. That's a rare find for this price and really helpful when traveling with kids. The indoor pool is also nice and water was warm enough to enjoy in winter. The parking fee is also reasonable and breakfast was generous.

The hotel itself is a little dated and everything shows signs of age. The AC/heater is really old and struggles to keep up.

River Rapids. A Wonderful hidden gem. We will definitely come again and again

I loved the completely renovated room. Excellent new flooring, Kitchenette including microwave, bigger fridge and even an amazing stovetop. P.s. pots, pans dishes plates and cutlery included. Has a deep sink and quartz countertops. Coffee maker that works well. The remodel room looks and feels great. Fantastic improvement. The completely renewed bathroom felt, bright and light and a great improvement over the previous bathroom. Sunna works well in pool area. River Rapid Inn has now created an amazing place that people can stay for a few.days cook, chill with free breakfast to boot.

The swimming pool was too cold to swim in. We had to request the lights in the pool area be turned on.. Shims need to be placed under the dresser and bed side cabinet. The drawers keep opening.. You have done such a wonderful job with building. If these tiny issues were fixed I would give top scores across the board.. Once last thought. Your staff needs to present an image that they are proud to be working at River Rapids. Wearing a winter coat when serving customers at check-in does not create the welcome you want.

Place must be under new ownership as they are doing renovations and will be great later on, but right now its a no. Photo on website is from a good angle.There really wasn't a breakfast selection to choose from. VERY BAD!

Location

I had a reservation for two adults and one child of 9 years old. We got a small room with one double bed, no sofa or any extra bed for my daughter. There was no place for my daughter to sleep and the lady behind recaption didn´t understand that we had a reservation for three people. They charged me extra for a new room. Even when she called her manager to arrange something, she was told not to do! We have a very bad experience with this motel. Also not enough parking places.

The bathroom so small I couldn't turn in there the bed was hard my back hurts and couldn't fall asleep because it was so uncomfortable. Sorry but the rooms have a lot of work to be done.

Nice but noisy

Great location, the breakfast was very good with a nice variety of options.

Because it’s an old building noise isolation is not great. We were in a room on the first floor and there was a room above ours and between 2 to 4 AM in the morning. The people in that room were moving furniture jumping on the floor stomping around being extremely loud. I had to go to the lobby and make a noise complaint. Unfortunately two nights later they did it again.

Buyer beware; Lots of added on extra fees once you check in.

No milk for cereal on the morning we went down for bfast. Maybe have a waffle limit? We waited 15 min and watched a man make like 5 or more waffles for himself, basically hogging it and leaving nothing for anyone else.

The price you see is not the price you pay. Expect to pay $40-$80+ more for your stay. They charge $20 extra per person. They also charge $20 +tax extra for parking Each Night!! The woman at the counter told me it would be $40 for parking for 2 nights then proceeded to ring me up for +45.20. When I asked her about it she simply said taxes. They should state that somewhere upfront. They should have that posted as important information about the property, either w physical signage and esp in the terms or hotel description. It doesn’t leave a good feeling within oneself when you’re squeezed for addition payments and charges when it’s time to check in. Also the cleanliness wasn’t completely up to par. There was gum on our bathroom floor inside our room. There was also boogers and smudges on the walls. The place could use a deep clean from top to bottom to earn a higher grade.

We had a hard time with the cleaning , we requested to borrow the broom and we were told they would come in to sweep. They never did. Same with sheets we requested to get it changed and they never did.

Not much of anything, staff was friendly but never helpful

I have many pictures. Room had 3 inches of dust piled up under bed,nothing was clean, mirrors had many handprints, asked for vacuum and moved all the furniture ourselves and cleaned. Beds were horrible old ,uncomfortable. My husband went for the free breakfast he didn't eat and said it looked disgusting so we ate out. The pool area was so dirty around and piles if dirt in the pool . Many missing snd broken tiles in the pool dangerous. But we wouldn't go in it was so dirtythe dirt was floating in chunks. I would recommend the health board to close it down and no one should ever pay to stay there.

We’ve made a mistake during the booking process. We’ve immediately called them. The person on the phone said “no problem, just make sure to call Booking.com and we’ll refund”. That’s what we did but we didn’t see the colour of our money. So more than 500$ gone for nothing. I do not recommend this place. The staff is not professional.

Flooring need to be improve, we stayed in 2nd floor and the footstep of the kids above us was very loud can’t blame them if the kids run around. But if the flooring is good maybe it will be lessen. Especially late at night and the kids still run around in their unit.

Upon checking in, we were told we had been upgraded to a room with a kitchenette. This was useless to us as we were only staying one night. I would rather have had an upgraded bed or an upgraded view. We were in a room facing the back. The pool was closed for maintenance. The TV only had the basic of channels.
