Lovely home and location. Friendly team.
Coming from the U.K we drink loads of tea and coffee. Having a kettle in the room would be helpful.

Location was perfect. It was our base to explore all of central Quebec City, not just the old city.

This is a quite unique place to stay for a lot of reasons. It's definitely quaint, it's quite comfortable and there are a lot of facilities on the floor below the rooms, a sitting room, dining room, outside terrace and tea and coffee and even cake. Plus lots of literature and all kinds of knicknacks. It's laid out as a kind of live-in museum. Breakfast was good and it's an excellent location on one of the nicest streets in Quebec.
The stairs are really steep and tricky to negotiate with large luggage (or any luggage really). The room was nice but pretty small, as the ceiling was sloping it felt a bit claustrophobic. The bathroom was a bit dated with a tiny shower, although everything worked. Sound insulation between the rooms not great but the road didn't bother us at night. The only sign of staff on site was at breakfast, keys were in a lockbox between two front doors a few inches apart, a rather weird arrangement.
