The staff were friendly, the proximity to MIA was both a good thing and a bad thing. The pizza place was a pleasant surprise. The little motel store was convenient but expensive.
I didn't like the taxi that brought me there from the airport (maybe 2 miles) charged me $40 dollars!!! The place was showing it's age. The airplanes flying directly overhead was a MAJOR 'don't like'.

Spent just afew hours so I couldn’t visualize many aspects.
The room I was has rust sltains on the lamp base and arbolve the bed light.

We really liked the location. We lived in Miami in the'70s and we got to go by Jackson Memorial and UM med school, but after50 years we barely knew where we were.
The parking at the hotel was really nice and reasonable, and most importantly safe. We parked for12 nights!
The shuttle service to the port was reasonable and on time.
Getting the extended stay until the shuttle arrived was great.
The coffee maker in the room both times we stayed didn't work..
The restaurant descriptions of sandwiches are a bit incorrect but the hot dogs are great.
