Vacassa is unprofessional causing a terrible stay

Location is central and walkable most of Breckenridge.

Vacassa who manages the property is extremely disorganized and unprofessional. They checked me out of my 3 night stay a day early insisting that I had a checkout on the wrong day. I was locked out of my rental at 10am during the middle of my stay, and missed work and an important client meeting. They claim the phone line was always down at check-in so it’s a very long walk/timely to get to the front office, where I then was treated poorly without any apology and blamed for booking third party on booking.com. The management Vacassa phone line fought me at every turn and it was a battle just to get a refund for my last night, as a bare minimum, that I didn’t stay due to being checked out a day early and no longer feeling safe, welcomed or comfortable at the accommodation. Even worse I paid for late checkout at 2pm and still haven’t received a refund for that, even though they checked me out a day early at 10am. Dealing with Vacassa has continued to be a multi-day disappointing and infuriating experience. While the rental itself was roomy and comfortable, the bedroom window was broken and didn’t open, nor did the bedroom lights work. The bed sheets were also very over bleached and scratchy, just in need of replacement. There are also misrepresented daily parking costs not disclosed on this listing. However, I cannot recommend this property due the horrible customer service and disorganization of Vacassa overall and the lack of accountability of the property staff and manager. They will blame you for their mistakes and uphold the length of your reservation, causing inconvenience at minimum on a vacation, but lacking any accountability if they cause financial and emotional damaged on your business trip. Add passive aggressive behavior, comments and a lack of urgency if they lock you out of your room you’ve paid for mid-stay. This was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had and booking.

The food was good. Restaurants were all walking distance. Close by where we were staying.

The TV in master bedroom was not working and the couch mattress needs to be replaced.

had to wait till 4:00 to get in, which caused us to get a parking ticket. The room was dirty, the floors were dirty, stove burner was broken, bathroom floors were dirty on the towels, very hot and the window was broken so we could not get fresh air, no place to unpack, baseboard was destroyed, no working ice maker anywhere in the complex, shower temp would fluctuate a lot during the shower, and the phone didnt work. Very dirty

Great Location!

The location is amazing right at the head of the main street. There was also a cute little pop-up market in the square on Sunday morning. Shopping, dining, and hiking were super convenient without needing to move the car.

No air conditioning (as correctly described in the posting) meant windows open to stay cool during the summer. This was fine, except was woken up by super drunk people shouting every night.

Very disappointed

Great location.

If you are satisfied with 2 star accommodations this place is for you. If not, don’t stay here. Staff was unhelpful and dismissive. Took 3 trips to the front desk to get keys that worked. Staff acted annoyed that they had to deal with this. No hot water when we checked in. Front desk said you had to let it run for 15 minutes to get hot water in the unit. Unit is run down and tired. It is in need of updating and a GOOD cleaning. The carpet felt dirty, furniture is old and worn. The entire unit needs fresh paint. No stopper in bathtub. Had to put washcloth in drain to hold water. Toiled seat was cracked. 2 of the 4 humidifiers didn’t work, and vacuum didn’t work. Several windows didn’t work properly and sliding door was very difficult to operate. Tried to call front desk but phone in unit didn’t work. Called the front desk on my cell for a vacuum replacement and a couple of humidifiers but they did not have any replacements. Again acted annoyed. After a few days a condo with 9 people needs some sort of housekeeping. I was even willing to pay extra. Not available. I spent 30 minutes cleaning out the vacuum. Very disappointed with this unit. Vacasa should be embarrassed to put their name on this property.

Infuriating!

Location was great.

Was given misinformation when booking which caused a major issue in my opinion; FDMgr was beyond hostile while trying to resolve issue; Hideaway bed was broken; DW did not work, and FD nearly refused to send maintenance “won’t be able to resolve during your stay;” When checking DW, Maintenance flooded kitchen but lied (in report to corp only), blaming us but we were not even there; They used all the unit’s towels to clean up flood AND left the ball of soaking towels in tub the rest of our stay; They also turned off the fridge while in unit, the frozen-over freezer melted all over our food and out onto the floor causing us to deal with it past 10:30pm. GM & Corporate both offered ‘compensation’ (7-4 holiday since, so no word from either yet) but honestly I would have liked to not lose the many hours (working on it all) of my short (48 hr) vacay in the first place!!

An Old Dusty Condo in a Great Setting

The location is fantastic

The room is dark & dated, the sheets synthetic, the towels small, the fireplace broken, & the kitchen poorly stocked. There's no air conditioning, & open windows would be lovely had there not been construction directly below the windows every morning starting at 8am, and Pride celebrations late into the evening. Fresh cool air or a full night's sleep? There was also construction in the parking garage (pay-to-park), & we were notified twice to move our vehicle. It would have been nice to have the construction & parking situations communicated upon checkin (or in advance!). It's such a treat to get to escape to a mountain town, & so disappointing to unwind at the end of an active day in a hot, dark, room.

Disgusting room and disrectful/aggressive front desk

Location

Cleanliness, the shower was filthy with long black hair in the drain, the pillows and comforter for the pullout coat were dirty and stained, and there were no pillowcases for the dirty pillows. When calling the front office for clean pillowcases the attendant was upset that we called for clean pillowcases, and then said we couldn't get clean pillowcases until the next day, which was a lie because when the attendant was told the pillows were dirty, she told my wife to bring them down and PROVE IT. Attendant had pillowcases available at the front desk when my wife got there. Then the attendant screamed at my wife for wanting basic amenities like clean comforter and pillows. The front desk attendant was very rude and unhelpful. This incident was reported management Wednesday morning at check out. We will never be renting from this property again. Altogether horrible experience.

Good value, excellent location for skiing.

Location was good. It was clean. Didn’t like the policy forcing you to put skis far from room. Also.did not like the in flexibility in allowing us to check in earlier and check out an hour later. Also since everything was done thru the app the place didn’t feel like it had any atmosphere since there were few staff and the ones there were not overly keen to go above and beyond in terms of customer service.

Love breck

Stayed here a few times now for short ski trips in Breck. Perfect location in the middle of town with on site parking and close to quicksilver lift. Property is getting a little tired now tho and the elevators are the slowest in the developed world!! Still a great place to base yourself and decent value for money.

Wish it had AC. Thankfully there was a fan for the bedroom. Consider adding a second fan for those sleeping on the pull-out couch. It was noisy in the courtyard below at night. Perhaps people at the pool til 10pm? I was there on business and had to get up early so if it weren’t for the fan helping with cooling down the room and providing white noise, I’d have been miserable. Our room was missing shampoo and conditioner and soap.

Cozy, with a great location

We loved the location, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had problems with the hot water. First, we thought we didn't have any, so we called the desk, and the lady said, "It seems to be the issue this morning." she would let someone know. By the time they got there, we had hot water. The next morning was the same, we found out you have to run the water for about 10 to 15 minutes to get hot water. Second, the drain in the shower would back up. We had to take fast showers so you wouldn't be standing in backed up water.

Exactly what we wanted for this trip!

The front desk staff was wonderful, friendly and had ready answers for all of our questions. The underground parking was roomy and not cramped between cars. The room was very comfortable, the fireplace gave a warming feeling in the mornings. The kitchen was well supplied with appliances and everything we needed. Loved being downtown where we could walk to all of the places we wanted to go.

There wasn't anything that stands out that made our stay uncomfortable. The crank handle on the bedroom window was missing so we couldn't open the bedroom window. Suggestion, chairs for the balcony would be nice.

The location at Main Street Station was perfect for walking to everything in town. The kitchen was well-equiped with everything we needed. The view from the balcony was great. The living room couch was amazingly comfortable!

When we checked out using the Vacassa app, our keys immediately stopped working. We left or breakfast and could not get back into the bldg to get the car. Please change this to allow the door key to work for the day of checkout. The toilet seats in 2 of the bathrooms need replacing. The water took ~ 10 minutes or longer to get hot in the bathrooms.

Could not stay as we were swindled out of the accommodation

We booked a nonrefundable stay costing $2,383.91 for 2 adults/2 children as agreed and detailed on the Booking.com website. After entering our details as a family of 4 the website directed us to The Main Street property. I have screen shot the details where it clearly stipulates this accommodation for 4 people. The actual details of the property twice confirm it as a 2 bed property. After we paid up front we get a booking confirmation. This DID NOT stipulate that the property was only suitable for 2 people. Again, I have this confirmation saved. A few days later we get another confirmation from Vacasa which then detailed 2 people only!!! I phoned up 6 times to switch or get my money back but was refused on each occasion. I was told that the payment was non refundable even though the Booking.com website was detailed incorrectly for 4 people. 4 days before the vacation I had to book a further accommodation which was much more expensive. I have screen shotted all the information and am sending it through to Better Business Bureau to get some resolution. I am completely disgusted with the way we have been treated.

Decent enough but below what I was expecting

Great central Breckenridge location and close to ski equipment shops and Quicksilver Express Lift. Good onsite underground parking, albeit a little tricky to navigate!

Room was tired, lots of lights not working or bulbs missing, broken dishwasher that had leaked on to the carpet leaving a massive wet patch. Broken shower door….very noisy until late in the evening (there’s that great central location for you)

Would not stay in a Vacasa unit again

Clean sheets and towels. Great location, downtown. Nice pool and hot tubs.

Dishwasher didn't clean dishes (several attempts-cycled through to heated drying, but no water appeared to have circulated to clean dishes); no dishpan and missing sink strainer basket or sink plug made hand washing dishes difficult; only 3 dining chairs at a small table (6-person rental); light bulb in bathroom broken (not just missing--no replacements available); one table lamp missing switch, (had to plug in to operate), wall mounted hair dryer didn't work (dryer in drawer did), coffee pot lid broken at hinge and coffeepot hardware misaligned; smoke alarm malfunctioned, going off when no smoke was generated during cooking; failure of staff to deliver clean sheets requested after asking in lobby and later, over phone--after third try, we were able to collect at the reception desk; tv in one room did not turn on with equipment provided; toilet seat in one bathroom had paint scraped off a large section; key cards didn't always work, even with careful handling. Could have used screen in balcony door--when opened to cool unit, two wasps flew in. Photos available upon request.
