Beacon Inn 1750

Central to everything I wanted to do. Right next to the T. Privacy. Unique old style inn feel. Restaurants, coffee shops, groceries,,liquor store , reservoir all nearby.

Sometimes staff weren’t around. Delivery of continental breakfast was a little unreliable but I had made other arrangements anyway.

The room was clean and comfortable but of course, as to be expected, showing its age. The staff was wonderful! Both professional and personable and very helpful. It was nice to have off-street parking, and rather fun to get to the parking lot through the "tunnel." The cost was unbeatable, especially for Brookline, and for being so close to Boston. For a short stay it was fine, and I would absolutely stay there again.

The room could have been in a little better repair. The door did not latch and did not stay closed unless locked. There were barely enough electrical outlets. Breakfast was adequate but rather uninspired, although I did enjoy my croissant. There was no decaf coffee that we could find. It would have been nice to have a place to eat besides our room.

Location and staff were great. Clean room quaint and quiet.

The air conditioning could be a little more powerful to cool the room
