Coolidge Corner Guest House

The staff was all spectacular and the rooms were so cute and clean. The breakfast was smaller than I imagined but still great. Everything felt safe and cozy. And using the laundry machines was free which was way better than a hotel!!

The building is an old one and a very authentic one. The floors were squeaking:) The room was very clean. There is no permanent staff yet it is maintained very well. No control for AC. I had to climb up the bed to close the ventilation output. The breakfast is continental. Bagels, philly cheese cream, jelly and coffee. I reserved the room with a in-room bathroom. The location is a bit away from downtown. It is a walking distance to T-line (about 7 min). Considering the prices to rest of the world, it was very expensive compared to the room you get. But this is what you get in Boston I guess

This is a well located, clean, and affordable Brookline option. It is a good budget choice and feels very clean, safe, and comfortable. Given the historic nature of the building, it has a cozy and charming design that is not for people who need modern. There is central air conditioning, which was perfect and cooled the room (number 8) nicely. The breakfast was a nice touch, but as a health-focused vegetarian foodie, there wasn't a lot for me, although I did like the oatmeal and bagels. I really need a good quality strong coffee over Folgiers drip and went out for coffee, but there was a nice tea selection. If you are sensitive to noice/privacy, I would opt for a larger room on the third floor. Room 8 was small and comfortable, but right next to the kitchen. Although the house was very quiet, I might have preferred something more out of the way for a bit of a higher price. In the end, with earplugs, I slept very well and did not hear any noise until some light 7am stirring in the kitchen.

What a wonderful spot to stay at. They do not have air conditioning, but the fans are wonderful, clean and tiny
