    Awesome value for Manhattan less than 2 blocks from MSG. Ask for a renovated room on 8th floor.

    Overall nice stay at the New Yorker. The hotel is rather old and the rooms are small, but the location is unbeatable. Near the MSG and NY Penn Station. It is also a short walk to Times Square. Highly recommend if you are not too picky with the room size, and prioritize location on proximity to a transportation hub for your trip.

    This hotel is location is perfect. Right by Madison square garden, Penn station, and from here it is easy to get anywhere else within New York City. The one drawback to the hotel, besides a very small room and no bathtub, is the hidden resort fee that gets attached to whatever you book the hotel for and is not announced until you show up. I had the pleasure of coughing up an extra $50 as a resort fee. I have no idea what amenity I received as a result of this resort fee. Normally, I get something. Also, I'm like every other hotel I have checked into in New York city, they would not let me leave my luggage for free when I arrived 2 hours before check-in time. They told me I would have to pay $10 to leave my bag. Normally I tip the Bell hop $10! So was I supposed to tip the Bell hop $10 in addition to paying another $10? They did give me an option of checking in early for only $25. Like I said, beware of hidden fees.

    If you can't afford the expensive hotels, this is decent enough and very convenient. Penn Station is right next to the hotel.
