Fairmont House Bed & Breakfast

Other than the pillows, everything else was amazing and would recommend!

The only thing that wasnt great were the bed pillows, they were too flat and hard. My only reccomendation would be to have an option of hard or fluffy pillows because it does have an impact on how you sleep.

The room and home was beautiful and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed great conversation with the host and the other guests at breakfast.

Our hosts were a lovely, gracious couple. They were very attentive to anything that we might need. Michael was especially entertaining with his subtle ways and stories. Unfortunately, Thomas had to leave, so our time with him was limited, but Michael answered all our questions and treated us like royalty. Hot breakfast on both days was amazing with eggs to order, bacon, sausage, local smoked salmon, a variety of fruits and melon, cheeses, toast selections, homemade jams, dry cereal choices, alongside yogurt and the most delicious homemade banana bread! They thought of everything! The location was ideal for walking everywhere and the pollinator gardens were beautiful and buzzing with life. I definitely 100% recommend Fairmount House! You must visit these charming, welcoming men and experience their warm hospitality!

Not criticism, but merely a suggestion. Entering through the front door of this historic home, the foyer is welcoming and your eyes take in the eclectic surroundings. Unfortunately what should be the centerpiece of the home, the winding stairway was carpeted and it was terribly dirty. I would suggest that you remove the carpet, reveal the original steps to their glory or replace it with a runner that doesn’t soil so easily.

Excellent breakfast. Gluten free. Interesting building and decor. Friendly host.

A/C unit was a bit noisy but we were grateful there was one.
