Windswept on the Trent

The view, the water, the deck, the dock - stunning & so enjoyable. Cute cottage, so many gathering places.

The breakfast was great. Food was good, creative and plentiful. They even accommodated my vegan and gluten-free diet! The pancakes were great! The property on the river was beautiful! We watched the sunset from muskoka chairs on the dock! We stayed in the Water Tower suite. We had a real wood fireplace in the living room! It was so cozy! There were windows all across the river side. We watched the river and boats from the breakfast table. Breakfast was brought into our suite. We appreciated the flexibility to have a later breakfast! At our invitation Bob came in to share stories about the history of the property and of the Trent river area. Elaine was a wonderful host! She made fires for us, brought in food and was so welcoming! We enjoyed having a fridge, microwave and stovetop to prepare some simple meals for ourselves. The beds were comfortable and the bedding felt luxurious. We also enjoyed the company of the hosts sweet cat Seymour. We definitely plan to go back and would love to see the property in the summer (as we were there in the fall). Windswept on the Trent was more than just accommodations: it was a wonderful experience!

Just a small thing…a couple of lamps in the living room for reading would have been nice.

Breakfast was lovely and the location was beautiful. So nice to be able to ring our dog with us.

Not sure what happened, but someone , maybe one of the workers, had a very loose bowel movement in the toilet and it was covered in feces. That set the tone.
