This place is a lovely old boarding house just outside the main village of Bic. The owner was very nice; although she doesn't speak much English, with my terrible French we were able to get by. Breakfast was a treat! They provide earplugs which is a nice touch (the house is on a road and the floors are creaky, although I found I didn't really need them; the road isn't busy at night and people weren't up in the middle of the night).
The creaking of the floors can't be helped but it would be nice if the door hinges were oiled so they didn't squeak as much.

Breakfast was quite good. The room was a good size and the bathroom was well equipped. Overall things were fine.

We enjoyed the history of the house. We appreciated the host accommodating our late arrival. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and functional.
It was very warm in the room. We suggest considering installing a ceiling fan for cooling at night.

Breakfast was good
Removing shoes was ridiculous. Room was very small, as was bathroom. Place came highly rated, but was disappointing.
