The host was very friendly and had sent us tips for food and hikes prior to our arrival. Upon arrival, he was waiting for us and shared more tips. The access to the kitchen was fabulous and the house’s atmosphere was very welcoming and cosy. There are quite some artisanal shops around that have fabulous work for sale.
There is a bit of a drive to find a restaurant that is open past 7 pm.

There is a "check-in by 7pm" policy with an hourly fee (that the proprietor graciously waived when we told him that we were running late) that would have changed our desire to rent here, but it all worked out. We loved the lodging!

Guest house cottage is located close to a private lake just off the Cabot Trail. We had the upper floor of the cottage. Parking was great, right by stairs. The area is peaceful. Jalal is very friendly and open. The cottage had coffee/tea amenities and a toaster/microwave.
The cottage could use a more thorough cleaning and the bedding/towels checked before guests arrive. We wrote Jalal our issues in the morning and hopefully things will improve. If one is a clean-freak, this is not the place to stay, flexibility is needed.

It was a very cute and clean little cabin. There was a toaster, coffee maker and dishes. The owner was very nice. Coffee was available in the lobby of the house. Windows were open, it was nice for sleeping. We would stay there again.
