Plantation House Bed & Breakfast

Our hostess, Rose, anticipated all of our needs during our two day stay in her beautiful home….immaculate would best describe her attention to detail….the house is tucked away at the end of a dead end street and it is surrounded by greenery and is exceptionally quiet and private…..perfect location if you are looking to walk to the downtown area of Port Hope and attend the theatre…. and there are other small towns to explore just a short drive away…..Rose prepared a breakfast for us each day and the food was not only delicious, it was beautifully presented as well….I would definitely recommend staying at this property to others.

Maybe a bit more storage for clothes would be helpful.

Aesthetically pleasing although lacking in heart. Our host was able to get us the TSN Channel we wanted on the television and breakfast was very good.

Poor first impression. No sign saying Plantation House and we could not reach the owner by phone when trying to clarify directions, even though it was after the opening time. The driveway was blocked halfway up to prevent easy drop off of bags. Owner did not welcome us and refused to give any help with the small bags up the steps and stairs even though my partner is partially blind and her walking is compromised. The B&B is spotlessly clean and appointed with top class amenities but lacking a welcoming atmosphere.
