It is an excellent and well-located property

We didn't like that breakfast wasn't included and that there was a charge for parking

The location was great, staff was nice and hotel room was clean

There was construction unfortunately during our stay right in front of our room

Good location overall, easy to get to by car, and 10 or so mins walk from the National Mall. Valet parking very expensive but there is a large and secure car park literally next to the hotel which was more than adequate for the one night we needed it. Hotel staff available at all times, useful as we arrived a little late, and check-in and -out was quick and easy. The room itself was comfortable and clean, with all expected amenities. Breakfast was good with a range of options, and I liked the fresh omelette and waffles station.

Our room was overlooking the main road at the front of the hotel on a low-ish floor, which meant constant traffic noise even at night. In addition, there was a large metal cover on the road surface outside and it made a very loud clanging noise every time a vehicle went over it, which wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep, especially trying to get my young child to fall asleep with that racket outside. The air-conditioning unit in the room was also loud so we had to turn it off for the night. We managed to get some sleep in the end but if we had to stay for more than one night, the general noise would have been a major issue. The breakfast/dinner area was basic. In general, the hotel has a very functional/business vibe without any flair.
