Maison McKenzie House

The host is what makes this place exceptional. What a good man! It is rare to meet someone who knows how to make people welcome at the end of a lonmg and hard season of tourists and visitors. The house itself is wonderful if you like old building full of character and warmpth you will love this one. The room en suite was very comfortable and the area quiet. Our breakfast was very good- perfectly cooked eggs and home made pancakes and jams! We will definitley come back

Nothing

Our room was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was delicious (especially the homemade blackberry jam) and Michel was a wonderful host.

It is an old house with steep staircases which may be difficult for older people. There are rooms on the first floor if this is a problem for you.

Michel was a wonderful host

Owner was friendly and arrived quickly. Big house interesting rooms.

The exterior was in need of maintenance, broken trim, needs paint. That left a poor first impression. The owner wanted cash payment. I don't like that because it suggests that they are not paying GST. The outside door was not locked. That would be fine during the day but I would prefer that the house be locked at night or at least that the owner be living there.
