We had two rooms, which was great.
The furniture is old. The reception was not staffed at 8pm and a note said we should call, which is difficult if you do not have a Canadian cell phone. Waited 10min in the rain.

Couldn't ask for more out of a motel. One of the nicest I've stayed at.

Clean and comfortable, with so many power points in all the rooms. The lady at reception was pleasant, good value budget accommodation, rooms were nice and quite big. Modern bathroom
The lady at reception wasn't there when I arrived, it had a note on the door saying to call when needing to check in but I didn't have a Canadian phone plan, so couldn't. Luckily she came soon after I got there but I can imagine it would be a hassle if I hadn't been lucky enough to catch her as she was passing.
She then spent a long time (20+ minutes) trying to find my booking, saying she wasn't entirely sure how to use the system. She told me I had underpaid, which I thought was odd as I'd paid in advance through Booking.com but I paid the extra amount anyway, though after checking online I realised I mostly definitely had paid in full online. For how long it took to sort this in the first place, I couldn't be bothered going back to rectify it.
The shower only got luke warm, even though the bathroom sink water would get super hot really fast.
House keeping must come daily, though I wasn't told about that and they came while I was out. I wouldn't have minded if I knew they were coming but it's disconcerting coming back to your room to find things not how you left them.
