Alpenglow Lodge by MVA

Excellent location, comfy bed, nice hot shower, small apartment style room with full working kitchen, lovely fireplace opposite bed, clean, friendly staff. Jacuzzi/pool wasn't available at the time so can't comment on that facility. Cute balcony. Noise from outside was minimal.

Was quite warm and the aircon was way too loud to have on overnight.

Great location in the Whistler Village marketplace neighbourhood ... close to cafes, groceries, pharmacy and pub, and easy walking distance to the rest of the village. Onsite paid parking appreciated. Clean room with comfy bed and pillows. Loved sitting on the deck in the evening with a glass of wine and some cheese. Loved the wee kitchen. This suite had everything we needed for a 4 night stay.

Intermittent noise during the day from the pool deck construction happening over the summer. Fortunately our room faced the street, away from the renovations, and we were out most of the day when the noise was happening. Others in our hotel were less happy. We were told about the construction about a month before arriving, and the prices charged reflect the acknowledged inconvenience. This is not a gripe so much as letting others know what to expect.

Alpenglow is right on the edge of the main village, so you can walk to everything but not have too much noise. The unit has everything you need to be self catering, was nice and warm with a gas fire in one corner and a little patio to sit on and enjoy the comings and goings. Laundry and gym available

Room was small, is not serviced at all during your stay (extra towels provided)

Room itself was great, had air conditioning, a balcony, was well equipped and very pleasant. Location was perfect, a five minute wander into the main town, and near to places that serve food, but not right in the middle of the louder bits of town.

Staff did what they had to, but looked like we were an inconvenience. Rest of the hotel looked tired - only one lift was working and the stairs were more of a fire exit (concrete, very enclosed and had a musty smell). The parking lot was underground, smelt terrible and looked like it was falling apart. Also couldn’t find the stairs from there so had to take the one lift, which meant quite a wait sometimes.
