The Manchester View

This is a very well located boutique motel-hotel renovated to contemporary comfort standards, only a few miles into town on a pretty back road (it was easy to drive into town for dinner). The front desk staff on my arrival around 6pm was exceptionally warm, friendly, and helpful.

I stayed in a ground-floor room, motel-style, with sliding glass doors out onto a semi-private deck where I watched the sunset. The property and area felt safe, however, I might have liked a heavier duty lock on the sliding glass door, or a bar to put in the left side so that the closed and locked side would not be able to slide open in any event. The light on the deck stayed on all night. There were blackout curtains, but I wasn't sure if that was on purpose or not. The breakfast was a contemporary continental. It would have been nice to have plant-based yogurts for those of us who are dairy-free, or to know exactly what was in the muffins, and quiche (meat or vegetarian), and whether there were any Gluten Free option muffins. Vermont coffee and filtered water were available unlimited which was nice.

one receptionist was a bit hostile when I queried something
