Staff was friendly and courteous. Room was comfortable. Room was quiet. Parking was convenient. Duke's breakfasts were wonderful. Kitchen was well-supplied.

The room I reserved online---a King Suite--was not available when we checked in around 9:00 PM (although we had notified the hotel we would be arriving in the evening). I was especially unhappy since we were celebrating our anniversary. The manager was apologetic and offered me a 2 double-bed suite instead, PLUS 20,000 bonus points and breakfast vouchers for our 4 mornings. I agreed on that basis; I had paid a premium for the King suite, and was disappointed about the room change. Instead, I was credited only 10,000 bonus points, really unfair, since I agreed only on the basis of what the manager promised. I expect her word to be honored, as this is basic customer relations.

We had room service for Breakfast and the part of our order that came was good. Few items were omitted from the order placed.

Biggest issue was the bathroom which was very tight. The bathroom tub had a saftey bar but the bottom of the tub had no safety traction strips which caused it to be very slippery. As I am recovering from foot surgery this was a severe problem and I ended up falling. Was a very dangerous situation.
