Strathaird Bed and Breakfast

Cozy and clean. Comfortable bed.

The bathroom is quite small but sufficient.

The cosiness of the house.

For big people it can be a little bit small

The Strathaird B&B is in a cute old house about a block off the river. It is about a 20 minutes walk to the falls. The room was really adorable if a bit small and had a super comfortable mattress. It was quiet so we could sleep with the windows open. The morning communal breakfast was delicious.

Clear instructions and seamless check-in: Very detailed instructions prior to arrival, smooth self-check-in with a keycode, personalized welcome stickers on room doors, and helpful notes around the house. Shoe-free policy: A dedicated shoe rack at the entrance ensures clean floors throughout the property. Comfortable bed: Clean linens and a good, comfortable mattress for sleeping. Breakfast: Fresh and tasty hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes, fresh fruit) served on lovely tableware.

Heating issue: The room was very cold at night with no option to adjust the thermostat individually. Despite asking the host and the thermostat showing 24°C elsewhere, the room remained cold, requiring extra layers of clothing and multiple blankets to sleep. Cleanliness and host reaction: Upon arrival, the garbage bin in the living room was completely full from previous guests, accompanied by an empty pizza box. When notified, the host emptied it without any apology or acknowledgment. Room ergonomics and amenities: No closet (only a few hangers on the door), no power outlets near the bedside table, and no clock. Cramped shower: Extremely tight plastic shower cabin where it is difficult to wash without hitting the walls, with a shower curtain that sticks to the body
