North Star Beach Suites

Very modern and well maintained accommodation.. Ideal location for visiting the historic sites in Louisbourg. The associated restaurant (The Bothy) is superb.

We would have preferred to have breakfast included since other options are not convenient. The mattress was too firm for our taste.

All of the staff at North Star were so friendly and welcoming. They showed a real interest in you as a guest. The food was delicious and with many options to choose. The Bothy where dinner was served was so warm and inviting with many decorative features. Live east coast music was also featured. We got to meet the owners; Collin and Justin and they were so nice and friendly and easy to chat with. Thank you to everyone that made our time at North Star a truly wonderful experience.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. Everything was great!

Loved the spacious room, it was clean, bed was firm but very comfortable. Stayed in #20 ( only pet friendly room) above the kitchen. People were very nice and food was good. Very close to Fortress Louisburg, you could walk there really.

Zero hot water unless you wanted to shower or bath between midnight and 4 am. Apparently the kitchen shared the hot water so it gets used a lot. Maybe think about getting separate hot water heaters. For nearly $400 per night, you would think hot water would be a priority. Other than that it was a very nice room, not great if you have mobility issues as there are a lot of steps. TV wasn’t much and the signal wasn’t great.

We had a beach front room and the scenery was amazing. It would have been nice if there were chairs that we could sit and enjoy the water views.

The bathroom was very small and outdated. There was cracks in the tile and the room wasn’t clean. The chairs that were outside our room were not sturdy and very old.
