Not excellent but a good place to stay.

JODY! She was absolutely amazing! She even gave us tips on an ice cream shop nearby. We also liked that the hotel is in a prime location. The room was spacious and I loved that it had the mini kitchenette type thing with the sink, microwave, and refrigerator.

I was very disappointed that the pool wasn’t open until late our second evening, since we had to check out at noon the next day. We never did get a chance to utilize it. It wouldn’t have been a big deal, except that that was one of the main reasons I chose this particular hotel. Breakfast was good the first day, but had stuff I couldn’t eat the second day. That was a little bit of a let down as well. All in all a good place to stay for the weekend though.

Loved how the room was facing the city view and we also loved how beautiful and spacious was the room.

Well, run Hampton, nice location, worth the stay.

The property was located in a great spot, the staff were responsive, and the hotel was well run. Again the staff, or excellent from the front desk to the housekeepers and houseman.

Unfortunately, the pool was not open during our stay. Which was one of the reasons we booked the hotel. It wasn’t a significant damper in our state, but it was a disappointment.

Everything was fantastic!

Super friendly helpful awesome staff! At the front desk she heard me talking that we slept terrible on the train on the way in. Got us a rear room. Did not hear one siren at night and slept great. Beds and bedding were awesome, quiet AC/heat. QUIET rooms all around! I didn’t hear anyone in the hall, didn’t hear city street noise, I slept like a log! Great breakfast too! Open 6-10AM!! Amazing.

The bed was uncomfortable. Very hard. The wall paper was peeling from the bathroom wall at the bottom and the door looked like it had water damage. The breakfast wasn’t the best. The fruit was rotted.

Great Chicago stay

The breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the terrace off of it. The front desk staff went above and beyond.

No hot tub and a fire station on the next block. If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. We slept fine though. Maybe a couple more towels in the bathroom.

The location is convenient, although it’s really noisy, just in front of the fire department, so for some people that can be an issue

It’s really noisy, The bed wasn’t as confiable as it looked, it seems that that mattress has been there for a long time. Breakfast is just fair. The water faucet leaked the whole stay they couldn’t fix it.

Great location, great staff!

The location of the hotel was great, it was in walking distant of almost everything that we had planned to do. The room was a suite and accommodated my family and I perfectly. The suite was clean with the exception off minor things, such as dirty window, dusty sprinkler and peeling wall paper. Also, things kept going out in our suite (bathroom lights, microwave, fridge) but the staff was exceptional with resolving all issues. The breakfast was ok, a great addition to our stay for a quick bite to eat and unlimited coffee all day long. The staff especially Yolo at the front desk was very helpful. She gave us a map to get a round and recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Overall a great stay, I would come back when in Chicago.

I didn't like how there were electrical issues in our suite that made the microwave, bathroom and fridge lose power. However, the staff was exceptional with resolving the issues.

Great hotel for a family vacation in Downtown Chicago

The hotel is excellent, fast check in/check out, clean everywhere, excellent beds, bed linen and fresh, new towels. Quite acceptable pool, also a cool terrace, where you can relax in the evening. Not bad breakfast, although the description of the breakfast was overstated, in general it is no worse and no better than any American breakfast. Good for visiting Chicago for a few days

It is very inconvenient to use the TV remote, you have to be a genius with buttons, why did they do it like that? Also, there is no or did not work a hood in the bathroom, which is very inconvenient.

The location is perfect, well connected by public transport and close to the main attraction walking. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is the standard US style and was included in the room. The staff is nice and helping. If planning to return to Chicago, this hotel will be my first choice, if available.

This hotel is in walking distance of many restaurants, shops and a mile from Navy Pier.

The property scored a 3 out of 10 in our assessment. This hotel applies additional charges of $15 per night for higher-floor rooms requests, $25-$50 for early check-in depending on the arrival time, and valet parking at $65 per night but we were charged $69, in which you are only permitted to call for the car two times and then you are charged a $25 fee for each additional time. (This was also not disclosed at booking or check in, but it’s printed on the back of your ticket) The hotel is located right next door to a fire station, which was not disclosed on Booking.com or the hotel's website. So if you’re hoping for a quiet night, this is not the place to stay. The quality of the beds was rated 2 out of 10, as they were very firm and not at all comfortable, although four pillows were provided. The ac in the rooms are locked to 65(you cannot go any lower) and they auto adjust back up to 72. No way to keep the room any cooler. With the ac vent being on the side wall back in the corner only half of the room stayed cool. Water pressure for the sinks was rated 2 out of 10, and the toilets received a rating of 2 out of 10 due to the need to hold the handles continuously to complete the flush. There was also some type of brown stains on the bathroom wallpaper, along with tape apparently holding it up. Additionally, breakfast received a 2/10 score. While there were options everything was either undercooked, over cooked or stale and the fruit had definitely seen better days. For the price of this hotel, we can definitely say we would not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel.

Location was great for walking to many things like shopping, restaurants, and the river. Breakfast was good, it has all the normal stuff. Everyone should be able to find something to eat. It was a very comfortable stay. Valet was great, very fast and easy to work with.

The stay was excellent!

The room was great, the location was perfect, there were plenty of restaurants and entertainment within walking distance, and breakfast contained a variety of choices: sausage, waffles, potatoes, eggs, cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, coffee, juice, milk, etc.

I only wish that there were turkey or chicken meat available for breakfast because I don’t eat beef or pork.

Close to the fire station is very noisy! I have to request to have my room done. Poorly breakfast with plastic cutlery, environmental friendly 0! They didn’t even helped me finding change.

Great location and overall good stay

Great location and wonderful staff. Room was large and clean.

Bed was not comfortable and requests from the staff were not met. We asked the front desk and our maid for more soap and never got any (was not refilled when we arrived)
