Coast Courtenay Hotel

I really loved this hotel! It was newly updated and really well done. The room was very comfortable, had a lot of space, the bed was super comfortable, the shower was great as well. The hotel had so many extra amenities. The pool is lovely and there are a couple outside areas to relax and eat. I especially liked the tv room with a massive 4-tv screen where I watched several World Cup games. There is a super convenient laundry room on site as well, which was not too expensive and easy to pay for via an app. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond. I can’t wait to come back next summer.

It’s hardly an issue, but the duvets on the bed were a bit too warm for summer, even with the AC on.

The shower is to die for, literally the highlight of our stay, maybe the nicest shower I've ever used. Near my favourite pub on Vancouver Island the Whistle Stop and close drive or bus ride downtown. Comfortable kingsize bed. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean.

Value for money isn't great, $200+ for a basic room, road facing, in an industrial area on the highway. Could likely have found a better deal for the money for similar amenities, minus the pool maybe.
