Le Petit Hôtel Vieux-Montréal - Saint-Paul by Gray Collection

Location is excellent, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

There was nothing about the property that I did not like, but know that the front steps are steep and would be difficult to access if handicapped.

Things to love about Le Petit Hotel, the location in Old Montreal is fantastic for walking around, restaurants and tourist attractions. The downstairs coffee bar is genuinely amazing. Breakfast is average and most of the staff were very accommodating.

At the premium price point and a gray collection property, I was expecting more than baseline hospitality, which this hotel struggled to deliver. For two out of our six nights, we had to explicitly request basic housekeeping supplies because they were not replenished. Two paper thin towels and even on one occasion, we were left completely without toilet paper. Even though we left the empty holder sitting directly on the floor to ensure it wouldn’t be missed, the staff ignored it. When we brought this to the front desk, the response received was, "We find it hard to get staff."While we understand the hospitality industry faces hiring challenges, operational shortages should never become a recurring issue for a paying guest—especially regarding basic supply items. The property has great perks, but management needs to fix these serious service gaps to justify their luxury pricing.

Service and staff were PERFECT! They went above and beyond to help us celebrate my husband’s 55th birthday. They even surprised us with gluten free cupcakes for the bday celebrations! We will definitely be back soon
