fun wedding weekend

food was good, liked pool, relaxing atmosphere, would have liked bar open later to hang with family and friends who traveled for wedding

on check in lady who checked us in, at front desk with an horrible condescending attitude, everyone else great, room wasn’t ready because stained carpet but did get cleaned just damp for awhile, perhaps no carpet in room would make easier to clean up, dirty sheet when pulled back covers at night an maid who came to change actually asked if we wanted only that top sheet changed ,unbelievable.

The dining room service was terrible. Food was fine but getting a coffee refill simply never happened despite repeated requests. Staff was so helpful in the front office but dining? Awful.

Our stay was great, we enjoyed Layla restaurant, the bar was comfortable and staff were friendly

Breakfast had all the choices required, location was close enough to the square that you could go by foot, whilst being far enough away to be quite and private.

MacArthur was everything that we expected and more. The King bed was the most comfortable bed at any place we have ever stayed. The courtyard view was serene.

Atmosphere

Brought a steak with plastic utensils. Served us cold food didn't offer to remake. Brought ice cream melted. Smores package was so old chocolate was white and marshmallows hard as rock. Forgot syrup with breakfast never brought after requested. Overall , service or concern was all lip service no actual concern

Great location and friendly staff

Ants we all over the middle of the room due to the charcuterie plate being left out. House keeping was not available to come to the room and other staff were “not able to assist”. They did offer another room, but that meant packing up and moving for what sounded temporary until the next day… we declined. We did push to have the bell staff assist with bags earlier than expected, 8 am and there seemed to be negative energy coming from the valet/bell lead.
