St. Peter’s is a nice community and a great place to have as a home base while exploring Cape Breton. The Inn is clean, comfortable and welcoming. We got so much advice from all the staff, and especially Wendy, who helped us plan routes to the events and locations we had planned. We had a great dinner in the restaurant, too.

No breakfast available on site. Room very clean. Location beautiful.
Water served at dinner so heavily chlorinated that it was undrinkable. The absence of at least a continental breakfast on site was inconvenient.

Convenient spot on the way back to Halifax from Louisbourg or Cape Breton. Very pleasant staff. Good food. Sideways view of the lake. Worth a wander down to the jetty and the canal.
Slightly old-fashioned hotel which feels a bit tired but is redeemed by the very pleasant staff and convenient location. Fine for one night stay. Useful laundry room in basement.
