Beautiful setting in the gardens either a jungle backdrop. The room was clean and spacious with a garden view. Close to a delightful pool, warm and relaxing.

The food was very good. The staff and head chef was very friendly. The hotel manager was very nice. Everything was perfect. No complains. The hotel was very nice.

Lovely old building, kept clean, and beautiful grounds. Balcony overlooking the gardens. Good swimming pool.
I would describe the accommodation as faded elegance. Our room was comfortable but certainly needed an update. The balcony door had to be bolted as the closing mechanism did not work. The shower door was dated and did not close properly. The air conditioning is old and noisy.
The reception staff were efficient, but brusque.
Also, signs in the room in Russian reflects that at least half of the guests were Russian, in keeping with Unawatuna generally.
