An affordable and comfortable inn

We truly enjoyed all the amenities at the Robinhood Hotel. At check-in, the reception staff explained all the important notices clearly and in detail. In addition to the affordable price, the room was very clean, and the king-size bed was extremely comfortable. We made good use of the all-day complimentary coffee machines and even reserved an e-bike at no extra cost. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Although the hotel has a long history, it feels modern and well updated in terms of facilities and overall upkeep. The hotel photos were very accurate, so I didn’t upload any pictures of our room. We had a wonderful vacation during our stay at the Robinhood Hotel and would happily return.

Advertised as a suite when really a bed with a couch next to it. For 300 dollars in a non central location this was disappointing. The processed food breakfast options along with cold boiled eggs did not add to our experience.

Adequate but not outstanding breakfast. Excellent service, friendly. 2 coffee machines & variety superb. Very spacious Great Room, plus great poolroom facilities, plus 3! TVs, with controllers. Even a Go game.

The piano (so unusual) a small Heintzman, but tinny...needs to be voiced. The bkfst containers all paper, and wooden cutlery...unique and environmentally great, but frustrating to use. Juices not much variety, sweetened (eyeew). Room tv programs very limited.

Spotless and Respectful Place!

It is clear from the behaviour of the staff, the amenities, and how this place is maintained that they clearly respect their guests. At this budget price, at a great location, Robinhood truly sets the standard high by keeping its facilities extremely clean (spotless!). This place has been running since the 1960's, and you can tell that they are very particular about maintaining high standards. The breakfast was generous and there was complimentary tea, coffee and other beverages around the clock in the common area with the pool table. We also had in-room coffee machines and refrigerators. The bathroom looked newly renovated and was spotless. I have a lot of respect for the level of cleanliness they maintain in all parts of the facility. It was an additional joy to use the complimentary kayaking services! I don't think you can get a better deal than this place at this location.

Great stay! Recommend!

I stayed for one night and really enjoyed my stay. The room was extremely clean, with fresh bedding and towels. I also loved that the area was quiet. I couldn’t hear any noise from the street or from other rooms. Special thanks to the guy at the front desk for helping me when I needed some disposable dishes. The service was very friendly and helpful. The common lounge area looked amazing, even though I didn’t get a chance to use it. It has breakfast, a TV and even a pool table so nice! And I absolutely loved the capsule coffee machine in the room -such a nice touch! Overall, a great stay. I would definitely come back.

Great stay.- Make sure you go for a bike ride.

I loved the electric bikes. They were included and easy to book. A Bike path ran along the waterway. The bed was very comfortable. The lnn was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was included and good. Across the street was a popular pub which had nightly deals and entertainment.

The air conditioner was a little loud as it had to be on as the room was warm. The Airport shuddle is only available after 9. We had an early flight so could not take advantage of it

The room was a good size, and quiet at night, the bathroom and shower were nice and updated. The bed was extremely comfortable, huge and maybe one of the most cozy beds we've slept in. We absolutely loved that we were able to take out ebikes each day and explore the city. That option made saying here absolutely the best pick we could make. All interactions with staff were totally great, very helpful friendly and engaged.

I'm someone who loves breakfast and the offerings here were fine but, basic. We stayed for a week so for me, it got a bit repetitive. I yearned for some scramble eggs, potatoes or cheese.

We loved our stay here!

We so enjoyed the complimentary use of the e-bikes, kayaks and SUP! The breakfast was good and I loved the new one-minute pancake machine! We appreciated the all day beverage centre and amenities offered in the Great Room. Our room was very clean. My daughter has a sensitivity to cleaning products and usually suffers in most hotels but she felt fine in our room. We enjoyed using both the outdoor sundeck and shaded picnic tables for eating our takeout meals (there's a great lunch place called Sol Cafe near the rowing club a few blocks away). We would definitely stay here again!

There was construction noise across the street during our stay but that is temporary and beyond their control. We also would have appreciated a soap dish or liquid soap to help keep our bathroom vanity dry and clean.

Comfortable and peaceful 2 night stay

Bed was clean and comfortbale. Very clean and smart bathroom, clearly recently upgraded, great shower. We took advantage of the complimentary kayaking, which was really good and we all really enjoyed. I had noted that when searching for somewhere to stay and the ebikes and kayaking stood out as another good reason to book. Highly recommend making use of them. Location is quiet but about a 20 min drive into Victoria. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good - no frills, hot drinks, juice, cereals, toast and croissant available in communal space, the Great Room.

Weather was really hot and really needed the AC unit but it was quite noisy so had to turn it off which meant the room got rather hot during the night. Not a deal breaker but there was only only one light source in the room, a floor lamp at the back of the room, some other lamps or lighting would have been useful.

Excellent location. Could walk into Victoria via galloping goose run. Room clean, upgraded bathroom really nice. Room furniture a bit worn although bed comfortable & clean, new carpet. Good laundry facilities. Good breakfast. All nice & clean.

Chromecast was finicky. It got humid/warm when window was left closed. A bit too warm at night unless the window was slightly open. Heat was off. Had AC units but I don't like the noise they make.
