hotel & spa Carré Saint-Louis

Great room with lots of natural light and a kitchenette stocked with basic plates, glasses, silverware, etc. I wouldn't have expected to do a ton of cooking, but it was really nice to have those. Good, safe location and we enjoyed the lovely shared terrace as well.

We were in the secondary building that was a few doors down from the main building where reception is--no elevator in that one so had 2 flights of stairs--was totally fine for us, and we know that happens in old buildings, just noting in case it helps others plan.

Very glad to have parking but found it hard to find a space first day and parked next to dumpster/garbage

Location , patio and cleanliness.

The reserved parking was very tight due to a truck which should not have been parked there. The jet bath shower would not extend so was difficult to rinse.

The bed was comfortable, the metro is nearby and the large windows let in lots of natural light.

The room and bathroom were very small and felt more like a hostel or student residence than a hotel. I had to move furniture to be able to open my suitcase on the floor. Breakfast was repetitive and lacked variety and the cooking facilities were limited in the room. The shower didn't drain properly, leaving water pooled around your ankles, while things in the drain reappeared in the basin. The fridge hummed constantly throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. While most of the staff were lovely, my experience with the spa was disappointing. I had been looking forward to using it but was made to feel like a nuisance simply for asking how it worked, having never been before. There were clumps of hair floating in the pool water so I didn't stay long. I heard staff talking about me in French, apparently assuming I would not understand.
