We would highly recommend staying here! Lots of activities in the area and Sylvia had great recommendations!

Absolutely amazing stay! Sylvia was so welcoming and made us feel right at home! The rooms were perfect for our family! Our young adults kids loved the ping pong and we enjoyed sitting out on the lounge chairs listening to the birds and church bells. Breakfast was delicious and sitting out on the porch in the morning was glorious!

Excellent stay in a comfortable hotel with picturesque setting.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Berghof in July. We were welcomed warmly by Sylvia and our experience was filled with Gemütlichkeit. The room was comfortable and the bed was nice. Everything was clean and in good condition. The balcony afforded very nice views of the countryside and was lovely to sit and enjoy that even though there was no lake view from the property. The Millstättersee area is so picturesque and the air is so fresh and clean. We really enjoyed the excellent and tasty breakfast available each day and left us wanting nothing more. Everything was very fresh and there was lots of selection available. The whole experience was very good and we would not hesitate to return. The area is very quiet so good to unwind and relax.

We would have appreciated a small fridge to keep some beverages and snacks cool. That would be a welcome addition. There is no air conditioning but there was a mountain breeze and a cooler day one day that did not make that an issue. I suppose that the room could get warm at times and a fan then would be nice but this was not an issue this time for us. If you want more things to do then a stay somewhere on the lake may be better but was not an issue for us.

Glad we stayed at Hotel Berghof!

Reception very friendly and our check in was easy with the aid of her ability to speak English. Property was very, very clean and quiet. Room comfortable and spacious and with balcony. Breakfast was excellent with fresh bread, cheeses, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bacon, and more. Great restaurant across the street.

Complete relaxation at Lake Millstatt

Gorgeous hotel garden overlooking the valley. Comfortable room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Free and easy parking. Hotel provides a card with free access to many Millstatt beaches. Lift to the rooms.

Next time we'll book a room with balcony.

Great facility

The family suite is beautiful, very comfortable. The location is great, and the staff are very kind.

There is a church nearby, and its bell is very noisy at 6AM. and every hour ....

Exceptional

Everything in the hotel worked as it should. The breakfasts were excellent. Staff very friendly. The location is excellent and it didn't even matter that you couldn't see the lake. The restaurant (not 10 meters as the hotel staff claims, but 15 meters :-) ) was absolutely faultless and at fantastic prices. We recommend, but it is better to make a reservation.

We had a wonderful stay and can recommend it to anyone keen on doing some hiking in the area

Breakfast was a real highlight, we missed literally nothing! All ingredients fresh and delicious- good coffee, loads of varied teas. All in all a massive plus, nice buffet and plenty of room to sit quietly and enjoy the beginning of a new day.

I was missing a few opportunities more to hang towels or clothes in the bathroom, mainly.

A very clean quiet new apartment with everything you need

A very clean quiet new apartment with everything you need , comfortable beds nice bathroom and kitchen . The apartment was at the level of the parking ( small parking), so no view , but very easy to move your bags from the car to the apartment and no stairs were needed. After reservation, they sent us a notification about that as we stated that we would like to have a nice view( very nice of them to do that) so it was no surprise for us. They offered us to take a room ( not an apartment ) as they are almost full and these are the rooms that were left with a view , but we preferred the apartment.

Really nice place, modern, large rooms. Location is also very good, about 5 minutes above millstatt. Staff was also very nice and helpful and breakfast is rich and good. Very recommended.

The only problem was the Wi-Fi signal, which was poor and not steady.

Great hotel above Millstätter See, rooms all look very new. Very friendly staff, big selection at the breakfast buffet, free WiFi throughout the property that worked very well. Free parking available as well.

Excellent Hotel to explore Millstatt area

+ modern, recently renovated hotel + clean, big rooms with big shower + good sound insulation and possibility to darken the room + great WiFi + great location to explore the area + very good breakfast with Prosecco

- very close to the village church which will give you a wake-up bell at 6 a.m., but at least the bells don't ring during the night - the pillows were not the greatest, but that is a personal preference

Erholsamer Urlaub am Obermillstätter Berg

Im Berghof passt einfach alles: große Zimmer, tolle Betten, Walk in Dusche - alles ziemlich neu! tolles Frühstück, das man bei schönem Wetter auf der sehr gemütlichen Terrasse einnehmen kann. Und das alles inmitten einer traumhaften Landschaft! Man kann es nur empfehlen!!

Ein absolut erholsamer Kurzurlaub

Das Frühstück war ausreichend und hevorragend. Die Familie war sehr freundlich und hat den Aufenthalt aller Gäste so angenehm wie möglich gestaltet, so wie sie es bewerben. Das gesamte Hotel war sehr sauber und incl. Garten sehr gut in Schuss gehalten. Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Sehr ruhig über den Tag als auch in der Nacht!
