About this farm stay rental
The apartment is located inside a typical Campidanese house of the family farm.
The complex is located in the center of the agricultural property and was built at the beginning of the 1900s.
This small apartment is the former home of the factor that we have tried to preserve as much as possible in the structure, materials and furnishings by giving something to the comfort, thinking that the structure will be used by people seeking peace, silence and rest.
The complex is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, apricot trees and 4 hectares of citrus grove and during the harvest season it is possible to taste clementines and oranges just picked from the tree. Not to mention the very sweet figs of the plant that shades the house ...
The apartment is accessed from an entrance on the ex-SS131 road that leads to the village of Villacidro.
You walk along a path of olive trees and arrive at the entrance.
The apartment has a paved area outside where it is possible to eat or relax. You enter the main room where there is a cooking area, stove, fridge and dishes, a table with 4 chairs and two armchairs in front of a large fireplace. From here you enter the first bedroom. This room, the main one, is furnished with antique furniture and with an antique hand-painted iron bed.
The second bedroom has two single beds, with the possibility of joining them and a direct access also to the outside towards the external area shaded by the fig tree.
The bathroom, completely renovated, has a large wall shower, sink, toilet and bidet.
The complex is equipped with a photovoltaic system that allows you to produce electricity for the uses of the house and in this perspective we have equipped the apartment with hot / cold air conditioners for comfortable use both in the hot and in the cooler seasons.
Immersed in nature, you can either enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside or immerse yourself in walks in the forest of Monti Mannu where there are fantastic trails for hiking and trekking.

If you like nature, calm and friendly atmosphere, then this beautiful place is definitely a great choice!
The house itself is easy to find - but you need a car to get there. Villacidro was a great place to start a journey in any direction. There are so many beautiful beaches out there, I can only recommend to buy a book with a list of most beautiful ones and try, you will most definitely find the ones you like. The weather was great for 12 days, very sunny and hot so the air condition was a life saver, it worked just great. The house is very nice, comfortable with a great spirit and atmosphere. You will find there everything what you (could) need. And in case you don’t - Andrea and his mother are so friendly and helpful, you can certainly rely on them.
The house is surrounded by gorgeous citrus and olive trees, we fell in love with them immediately! In front of the house there is a big fig tree, we were just in time to try some of the fruits, very, very tasty! In the morning you can have a great breakfast in front of the house enjoying the view on a garden.
We definitely would like to come back in the future! Great place, thank you Andrea!
As additional information I can add that in Villacidro you can find a very very good pizzeria - La Taverna Romana, we really enjoyed our pizzas there :)
Keep also in mind to visit Nora Archaeological Museum, very impressive, we loved it :)

Wer es gern ruhig mag, ist hier genau richtig. Villacidro ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, die schöne Insel zu erkunden. Es gibt viele Naturparks, die zum Wandern einladen und auch die nahe gelegene Grotta di San Giovanni sollte man gesehen haben.
Wer sich in den Trubel stürzen möchte, erreicht auch beispielsweise Cagliari in nur etwa einer halben Stunde mit dem Auto.
Wir waren im Dezember zwei Wochen da, um die Insel und gute Klettermöglichkeiten zu erkunden. Dabei war das Wetter nicht immer so gut und die Wohnung war dennoch stets ein sehr gemütlicher Rückzugsort mit einem großen Kamin um ordentlich Feuer zu machen.
Die FeWo, das ehemalige Verwaltergebäude der Plantage, ist neu renoviert aber mit sardischem Flair. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und hatten auch das Glück, dass die Orangen und Mandarinen reif waren an denen wir uns auch bedienen durften. Frischer und leckerer kann man seinen Orangensaft am Morgen nicht bekommen.
Fazit: Sehr zu empfehlen und sehr gerne wieder!
Very beautifull appartment surrounded by orange trees in a quiet location!
Villacidro is a good starting point to explore the island. There are a lot of natural parks suited for hiking tours and other natural monuments like the Grotta di San Giovanni nearby.
If you like it more busy you can reach Cagliari within a half hour by car.
We were there last december and the weather wasn't always good but thanks to the big fireplace in the living room it was always comfortable.
The appartment is newly renovated with sardinian flair. We had a very warm welcome and were allowed to pick the oranges and mandarins from the trees in front of the appartment. Never had my orange juice fresher and better!
We had a very nice holliday in Villacidro and would love to come back some day.
