The location was amazing and the sea view to die for, both in the morning and of an evening when the moon was shimmering on the water. Perfect location for supermarket and travel links. Short bus ride to the train station from where you could travel up and down the Cote D'Azur as much as you like for Euros 50 for the week - bus, tram and train.

Don't be put off by the front of the building which is on a main road - i.e. don't judge a book by it's cover. The apartment block is clean and tidy and the apartment itself, amazing with everything you could need. Had a little trouble getting the TV to work, but figured it out - for those booking this particular apartment and wanting to watch TV - open the cupboard doors to find the sky box equivalent which is worked by the small remote.

Great host, very helpful and accommodating. Showed us around the apartment and complex which was a big help. Left a nice welcome gift and couldn't do more to make us feel welcome.

We didn't use the pool but it looked like it needed a clean.

We have stayed in a number of apartments in Cannes at this price level. This was by far the best - size, amenities, cleanliness, view. If this apt was closer to the Centre it would be much more expensive. There is an easy level walk into town around the beach (or a shorter walk up and down the Suquet hill). Alternatively there are frequent buses within 100 metres of the front entrance (E1.60 on the bus for any number of stops, slightly cheaper for a carnet of 10 purchased at the Bus centre near the town hall). You are within a 5 minute walk of a great boulangerie (don't visit if you are already a bit big around the waist) and it is the same walking distance to an (average) Aldi store. There are better supermarkets reasonably near the Cannes Station (Monoprix/Carrefour), a Monop next to the market or take the bus the other way to La Bocca where there are two large stores. The street outside the apartment is very busy & noisy - however the owners have three (!) double glass sliding doors between the street and the single front bedroom and you can barely hear any noise at all. The outlook from the balcony over the sea and Esterel mountain range is very pleasing. It was our go-to place for breakfast, general sitting and evening drinks. We were met at the apt by the friendly French owner who showed us around. (She speaks better English than I do!) There was also a very helpful on-site cleaning lady for the building, conversing will test your french. All-in-all a great place to stay.

At this stage the standard of the public areas is definitely showing its age but the owner says that this year the Syndic is upgrading the roof and next year it will be the the public areas.
