Sleeping up to four guests, this is the perfect base for couples and small families planning days of coast and country adventure together. The coastal villages of South Queensferry and North Queensferry are within 5 miles, both offering a good choice of eateries and pubs, independent shops, picturesque beaches, and access to the Fife Coast Path. Visit Midhope Castle (4 miles) on the historic Hopetoun Estate, where several popular TV series have been filmed. A bigger day out awaits in Edinburgh (7 miles), where popular attractions include Edinburgh Castle, the National Galleries of Scotland, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, and annual festivals such as the Fringe, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and the Christmas markets.
