About this house rental
Our family bach in Cooks Beach, just 30 seconds to the sand with no road to cross. It sits on a quiet cul-de-sac an easy stroll from the shops, with four bedrooms, water glimpses, a big flat backyard and a covered outdoor dining area made for long evenings around the BBQ. In the cooler months, light the fire and settle in. Hot Water Beach, Hahei and Cathedral Cove are a short drive, and the Ferry Landing ferry has you in Whitianga in minutes.
This is where our family comes to unwind, and we'd love you to enjoy it the same way. Wake up, wander down to the beach before breakfast, and let the kids come and go without worrying about traffic.
Inside, the open plan kitchen and dining area is well set up for big group meals, with a dishwasher, espresso machine and everything you need to cook. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a king bed, a walk in wardrobe, a private deck and an ensuite with a deep soaking bath. Downstairs there are two queen rooms and a bunk room that sleeps five, with table tennis for rainy days. Smart TVs, unlimited fibre Wi-Fi and a wood fire make it just as good in winter.
Outside, there's a spacious backyard with room for cricket, covered outdoor dining, a four burner BBQ, sun loungers, kayaks and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. There's free parking on site and room for a boat.
The whole house and section are yours. The only areas off limits are the locked cupboards in the bunk room and the shed, which hold our family's things.
Good to know:
Self check in by lockbox from 3pm to 8pm. Checkout is 10am.
We're on rainwater tanks, so please go easy on water. Short showers and full dishwasher loads go a long way.
Kayaks are there to use. Lifejackets must be worn on the water, but sizes vary so much we don't supply them, so please bring your own.
Please include everyone in your group when booking so we can have the right linen and towels ready.
