Next to the sea shore touristic path (Formosa Beach - Lido path) and its restaurants, 2-level apartment, direct access to a nice public park, ocean view, indoor parking, Forum mall (3 min walk), public transportation, drugstore.
The Space:
Nice location, quiet, well equipped, public park, close to everything, nice walk possibilities (40 min of pleasant walk to Câmara de Lobos or downtown Funchal), supermarket / shopping at Forum Shopping Centre.
Guest Access:
Kitchen (washing machine, dryer, dish washer, etc.), 2 bedrooms with a double bed in each room, 2 bathrooms (shower + toilet in each bathroom), tiny balcony, elevator, indoor parking, TV, high speed wifi (500 mb/sec), DVD player
The Neighborhood:
The apartment is located in the desirable Ajuda district, a vibrant coastal neighborhood that perfectly blends modern convenience with local charm. One of the highlights of this location is the beautiful green park right under your windows, featuring a well-equipped children's playground, making it a perfect spot for families. You are just steps away from the Forum Madeira shopping center, which offers a large supermarket, international shops, and a cinema. The area is famous for its proximity to the Estrada Monumental, Funchal's premier seaside avenue, lined with excellent restaurants, bakeries, and cafes.
Getting Around:
Getting around from Rua Velha da Ajuda is exceptionally easy and convenient. The neighborhood is highly walkable, with the park, beaches (like Praia Formosa), and grocery stores all reachable within a 5–10 minute walk. For trips to the historic center of Funchal, several bus lines stop just around the corner, reaching the Marina in less than 10 minutes. The Aerobus (airport shuttle) also has a dedicated stop nearby. If you are exploring the island by car, you have quick access to the main highway, and we provide free private parking in the building’s secure garage (the remote control is provided inside the apartment).
Other Things to Note:
* Secure Covered Parking: Enjoy the benefit of a protected parking spot off the street. The remote control for the garage is provided inside the apartment. Having a secure place for your car is a significant advantage in this central area.
* Family Amenities: A foldable baby cot is available upon request for €10 per night (capped at a maximum of €60 per stay). Please let us know in advance if you need one.
* The lock downstairs is sometimes a bit difficult to open (the building has many entrances, you have to use the one on your very right (close to the parking gate). Please use this technique : insert key, then withdraw it very slightly and lift it up; then turn anti clockwise. Or... just use the remote to access the building via the parking :)
