Welcome to Sunny Stay by Atlantic Holiday, a well-located apartment in beautiful Funchal, Madeira Island. Designed for comfort and convenience, this space is ideal for couples, families, or a group of friends looking to enjoy all that Madeira has to offer. The apartment accommodates up to 4 guests, featuring a cozy bedroom with a queen-size bed and a sofa bed in the living room.
The fully equipped kitchen includes all the essentials for cooking at home: fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, hob, plates, cutlery, and cookware. A bathroom with a bathtub, a washing machine, a smart TV with box, and a hairdryer are also available to make your stay easy and enjoyable.
Step out onto the private balcony and take in a peaceful lateral sea view, an ideal spot for morning coffee or a relaxing evening. Guests also have access to a shared swimming pool, a great place to unwind after exploring the island.
A private parking space in the building's garage is included. The apartment has an elevator and is surrounded by several nearby bus stops, making it easy to get around without a car. We also provide a baby cot and high chair for families traveling with young children upon request.
Check-in is available from 16h00 until 05h00 the next morning. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. Smoking inside the apartment is not allowed.
The City Hall charges a local Tourist Tax per guest per night. The charge amounts:
- 2EUR per night;
- This rate applies up to a maximum of 7 consecutive nights and does not apply to guests that are under 13 years old.
- This charge must be paid directly to us so we can deliver it to the City Hall.
We’ll provide all the necessary details, including the Tourist Tax payment, a few days before check-in.

The super king bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful and hot.
It was very easy to speak to the Atlantic holiday team via what’s app and their response time was excellent.
The key collection safe box is outside the Atlantic holiday office which is not very convenient for the apartment. The key could be left on the dining table on departure which was a relief.

Pros:
- The location was really good, very central and walkable to cute cafes and restaurants.
- The apartment itself was very nice and spacious
- Host was accommodating to provide cribs for our children.
Cons:
- Check in was not easy. You have to pick up keys in a different location than the actual apartment
- elevator doesn’t work on the 7th floor. You can take the elevator TO the 7th floor from ground or parking but can’t call the elevator to the 7th floor so we had to go to 6th floor to call it and take it up to 7th
- although laundry is included, they did not provide any laundry pods/detergent which was a huge negative. You basically have to buy a whole pack of detergent or pods to be able to use the laundry. The whole point of booking an apartment was to be able to access laundry for 10 days that we stayed. The smallest pack of pods had like 20 pods which there’s no way you’re going to use in that timeframe unless you decide to wash 10 items of clothes per wash to go through them. This is something I think should be provided (even if they just provide one pod/week so you’re not buying a whole pack for a short stay)
- No condiments/spices provided in the kitchen so same thing, you have to buy everything for a short stay and either leave the rest there or bring it back with you when you’re leaving
- Checkout instructions were not clear (where to leave the garbage, where to leave the key, etc)
